I've met John Terry and don't think much of his intellect. HOWEVER, he's clearly a football man and has put many, many days into working at youth levels for Chelsea.
He naturally has that entitlement that comes with being an ex-England captain, but for a Champions League winning international starter, he's gone about it the right way, and hasn't simply assumed he should walk into a job.

Imagine a football league club appointing an arrogant ex England centre half and captain who is unproven in management as their new boss?
What sort of club would be that stupid!
