my question is: at what point do MB’s managerial achievements overtake his playing ones? If he takes us up? Three promotions as a player, league cup semis, club captain for ~10 years, 557 games etc. Would taking us up and keeping us there be more impressive? Winning an EFL trophy? Winning the fa cup this year?
Context is all, though. And the particularly pertinent bit of context is the level of resourcing compared to the competition. In that respect, MON was excellent once we'd got into the league, GA was unbelievable and Lambert, by contrast, was poor - we were throwing money at players in his period and not getting out of Division 4. Sanchez gave us excellent bang for our buck until that last season.
Spot on with that last bit especially. I think Blooms is going to be a better manager than player, but that would likely eventually mean moving on from us unless we had some kind of miracle run to the PL.
No matter what happens, I suspect Bloomsball may be talked about in the way you all do with Gormania (before my time) whether it is ultimately successful or not. That 5-0 against a very good Stockport side may well be held up as a kind of crystalizing of what Bloomsball looked like at it's best.
If Blooms were to get us up, the fact that he would be adding it to a playing career that included also being the first man to ever captain us into the Champo would be forever unique.
I reckon 90+ points and our second highest position ever in the pyramid, which 90+ points should pretty much guarantee, absolutely would give Matt Bloomfield a top three spot, but I reckon he might not be particuarly bothered about that.

MB wins any tiebreak with the '20 years a player' card

He certainly needs a bit of longevity in the job as well as achievements I think.
But if he did take us up clearly he'd be very much more in demand and might not stay here.

Yeh at Bristol Rovers, our first away win of the season. Then we went to Macclesfield, blew them away and were off to the races.

Just popped over here to see if there’s anything interesting but the concept clearly hasn’t caught on.
