  • incredibly competitive (again), I gave it to Pattenden for some sterling work in both defence and attack, very nearly went for Harvie for the same reasons - but absolutely spoiled for choice, there's probably about 5 or 6 who could have staked a claim.

  • Pattenden. Then Harvie. Then Taylor.

  • Once Pattenden starts making those runs regularly he is going to be such a nightmare for the opposition! Another development squad success story!

  • Pattenden easily

  • Pattenden. Relentless in his endeavour and a real Wycombe player. Sticking his head in at the end knowing he was going to get a kick in the face is so typical of his application

  • Wow another game another superb team performance exemplified by our second goal.

Really tough to pick out one player, I thought the back 4 were superb, especially the 2 full backs. Morley & Humphreys especially made some sublime passes but werent afraid to put in the hard defensive graft when needed, the front 4 once we kept the ball on the floor and passed it around gave their defence a torrid time. Oh & lest I forget, last weeks runaway winner made at least one superb save with his feet to keep us ahead.

On balance it's a toss up between Harvie & Pattenden this week with the latter getting my vote

  • Pattenden. And he deserves it.

  • Harvie for me tremendous today - superb blocking tackle towards the end. Good game from Pattenden as well.

  • Went Humphries for his build up play, tenacity and workrate.

His assist for Kobe goal was superb. Plus his availability in the winder goal and weight of pass to Udoh allowed Harvie to overlap.

Could easily have given it to Pattenden or Harvie.

Im worried about our loanees in January. The team will find replacements but hopefully we won’t need to.

  • I said (on here) the other day that I wished Pattenden was a bit braver with the ball. He was today and he was superb - he must be reading the gasroom (or he’s just a good player growing in confidence, but I like to think it’s down to me)

  • I went Harvie, but Jasper and Humphries very close. Full team performance today.

  • It speaks volumes for the quality we've come to routinely expect from Richard Kone that he's hardly had a mention. What a footballer he is developing into

    I voted for Jasper

  • Harvie for me today. He was here? He was there.... he was every fucking where. After a shakey/slow start to his time with us he has really proven himself and is turning out to be a fantastic player for us. He pops up all over the place a d makes vital challenges. Another job well done today from everyone though 👏

  • Harvie. Superb. You don’t get full backs at this level of his overall quality. Not often. The last one this good was the geezer who played for Peterborough and signed for Sheff U who are top of the champ. Hes that good

  • Totally agree. Harvie is very key to our whole way of playing.

  • I went Harvie, but agree with others, Jasper and Humphries were both great

  • Doing this today without Scowen shows how much we have grown up. I just hope it is not too long!

  • at the time of writing, Pattenden and Harvie neck and neck...

  • I’m surprised to be so lonely voting for Morley. String puller in chief again

  • Harvie today - just.

  • We missed Scowen big time today. Praying not too long.

  • Pattendon is growing each game and is so impressive, Low and Taylor will defo make it to the premier league, so lucky to have them both .

    Please sign Morley ...

  • I actually voted Kone (the only one it seems). I thought he held the ball up superbly and took his goal well

  • Both fullbacks were excellent today.

Pattenden has had a couple of strong games in succession. I’d love him to kick on now and make the RB spot his own. Whilst we have depth in personnel there I do think it’s one position we could strengthen.

Harvie was my MOTM though. There was one 10 second spell where he made critical involvements in both boxes. He’s getting better every game and does everything a good modern fullback needs to.

Fred also well worth a mention.

  • Agreed. It doesn’t matter how good the other players are, we are always a better team with Scowen.

  • Taylor has been fantastic for us, including today, so I’ve no intention of criticising him. He did however give his man far too much space for their first goal.

  • I went for Pattenden as well. I think that’s the first time I’ve seen him play live and apart from a tendency to run into people and fall over I thought he has a lot to offer. He’s not afraid to push the ball past someone and has good acceleration in trying to get it.

But it was his brave header in the box in the last minute that tipped him into the MotM box for me.

Picking a MOTM from this team is the devil’s own job. Nevertheless, I voted Jasper.

Only last week @Malone was disagreeing with my suggestion that the battle for the right back shirt would be fascinating, stating that there was no battle because Jack was clearly the better player. Personally, I think it’s great for us that Jasper and Jack seem interchangeable.

I will also say that Harvie was immense, and Udoh’s valuable contribution is often overlooked.

  • Jasper. Didn't put a foot wrong. There was a hand (or two) astray with one throw-in, but it wasn't the feet's fault.

Nicely put. Yes, the ball was slippery from the rain.

I think it’s fair to say that, starting with a performance at Fratton Park in what feels like aeons ago, I have been an outspoken admirer of Jasper both as a talented footballer and as a personable, intelligent and articulate character.

A Wycombe legend in the making.
