Many congratulations to @PJS, top of the shop with a forecast that missed by just 13. Take a bow: on a week where lots of us were close, you were closest and take the title of Forecaster of the Week.
Our final average prediction - 8767 - an underestimate of 191 - was pretty honourable and would have made the top twenty.
The level at which predictions are likely to make an impact on the 'Tour de Season' table is around 200 at the moment and everyone in this table was there or thereabouts. Top work all round.
This too means I can mention the predictions that hovered around the 200 markd - the triple tie for 16th place between @SmiroludyBlue, @MindlessDrugHoover and @bookertease with the beautifully sequential prediction of 8765 which missed by 193 and the benchmark prediction of eight and three quarter thousand - 8750, which produced a two way tie for 19th place for @williwycombe and @Commoner and missed by 208.
Top Twenty for the Fantastic Away Support: [Actual 416]
Many congratulations to @DJWYC14 who underestimated the number of cheerful (literally) and relieved by just two.
Congratulations to those who were within 5% [20] namely myself, @Onlooker; @MindlessDrugHoover; @bookertease; @Forest_Blue; @Alexo; @perfidious_albion and @Manboobs. There was a remarkable 5 way tie for 7th place in this table. The round number prediction of 400 and the tempting sequential prediction of 432 both missed by 16. So a special mention for @bookertease and @MindlessDrugHoover who picked the beautiful prediction of 8765 - 432 and deservedly appeared in the top twenty for both predictions.
I can't seem to stop having fun with our football at the moment, but probably not quite as much as @LDF .
Also there will be a mention for @micra and @93Chairboy who missed by 21 with predictions of 395 whcih was out by 5.05% (to two significant figures.
There is a second mention for @Commoner whose thought out predictions of 8750 and 450 produced a 19= place in both tables.
Our final average prediction from all 36 predictions this match for the away support was 449, but without the 1250 that Chat gpt picked out of the air it was 426 which missed by just ten so collectively we know our stuff and should give ourselves a pat on the back.
Top Twenty for the Home Crowd: [Caluclated 8542]
Many congratulations to @silverfox - closest and out by just 8 - within 0.1%!
I want to note that @Chat gpt made an entry in this table - 8700 missing by 158. @manchesterchairboy was correct to say that one prediction was more likely to be close than the other. On this measure our Gasroom average was 8317 which would have just made the top twenty table
Next attendance thread will be for Lincoln. We have booked to stay and I will put the thread up as soon as I have done the same for tickets. I think it will be interesting to see how many we will have there for this interesting and important game.
You just seemed to have had, and to have created, a tremendous amount fun on the way on the way back from Wigan. Although I was bubbling inside, my train back to Crewe and beyond was quite peaceful.

Just about time for me to get ready to catch the train to arrive there allowing for cancellations, signal failures and persons taken ill on the train.
29 predictions made, and on record, and we are collectively saying:
Average for the Total Crowd: 8778
Average for Away Crowd: 455
455 would be an impressive turn out for this fixture.
8,720 with 411 Chairboys.
8538 with 502 chairboys
8765 with 432
Of course not. It’s a 3pm Saturday kickoff.
Assume you are referring to SkySports+ (channel 412).
8919 With 419 from the rolling hills of Bucks.
8765 with 432 Blues
8730 with 378
I’d wager that at least 10-15% of our support will be from Greater Manchester or thereabouts.
8,600 (400 away)
According to WWFC Twitter feed 416 Chairboys were there today.
Didn't hear a figure at the match. I know the grounds big etc but it looked empty.
8,958 on their match report https://wiganathletic.com/news/2024/november/09/match-report-latics-v-wycombe-wanderers/

Thanks for your work @railwaysteve. Not sure I understand the reference to me though.

If you are referring to the singing hens on the train to Manchester, @railwaysteve
... that comment was posted by @LX1.
Can't seem to join those snippets into a single post, 🤷
Apologies to @LDF and @LX1 for making the mistake and compounding the error.
You're forgiven, lol. Does that mean I can be joint 19th on the away attendance board after all?
