  • Welcome to the rhread to @Beechrdswan.

Six hours to kick off and five hours to the 14:00 deadline for predictions that count in the season long competition ....

    28 predictions so far:

Average for the Total Crowd: 4806

    Average for Away Crowd: 762

For those following our own home following - our predictions for that range between 3,600 and 4,600 except for Chat gpt who is hoping we get 5000.

    Well meant reminders - opt outs available - for @BSE; @Commoner; the current leader @DevC; @Onlooker; @perfidious_albion; @PJS and @ryan_w_kirkby2

Also, just in case they tune in the thrill of seeing if your number comes up is still available to occasional forecasters this season @wwfcblue; @wycwyc; @James; @username123; @Will_i_ams and @Cecil.

  • 4876 with 732 from East London.

  • 4878 with 680 from the smoke please

  • 5178 with 825 away

  • 4621 with 648 away

  • 5097 with 800 Orient

  • 5,000 (1,000 away)

  • 5000 with 500 away

  • Today's attendance was 5,400, including 739 Orient fans.

  • That’s encouraging. An increase of over 1,000 compared with the number who attended the Posh game. OK, we know the underlying reasons for the latter but, if just a quarter of those fans who reacted so enthusiastically today are encouraged to spread the gospel, numbers may well snowball.

    Really hope so.

  • Half term and no football this morning in the Saturday morning youth leagues.

this may have helped the attendence, plus or excellent form?

@Glenactico can expect a lot of congratulations on here tomorrow. There are only a handful who are going to be closer than Chat gpt.

    IUp the Blues.

  • Top Twenty for the Total Crowd: [Actual 5400]

Many congratulations and praise indeed to @Glenactico, who was positive, stood out from the crowd, and made the only human overestimate of the week. A very deserving taker of the title of Forecaster of the Week.

That said everyone was quite a way away. The bold prediction by @Glenactico did not make the within one hundred mark and consequently I fear that there will be few alterations on the Tour de Season Leaderboard due to improved scores this week.

@DevC deserves a mention for coming second and getting all his ducks in a row to miss by 222 with a prediction of 5178. There were nine predictions in total within 400 - all those of 5000 and above. The exception was Chat gpt, which came 13th with a prediction of 5832 - missing by 432.

Top Twenty for the Away Crowd: [Actual 739]

Many congratulations to @wwfcblue who missed by just seven.

    Congratulations to @micra; @a40; @SmiroludyBlue; @williwycombe and @robin who were all within 5%.

Chat gpt just missed out on congratulations after coming 7th with a prediction of 780 which missed by 5.5%

A special award goes to @Commoner; @LDF; @mwite; @Erroll_Sims and @mooneyman who all managed to tie for 13th with predictions which missed by 61 in various directions. I can't remember a 5 way tie before and it was respectably inside 10% of the correct number.

Our average prediction (including Chat gpt) was 760 which would have come 5th.

Top Twenty for the Home Support: [Calculated as 4661]

Take a bow for this one @Glenactico - out by just 6 and no one else within 150. Brave predicting! A mention for @perfidious_albion for being within 200.

Everyone has actually underestimated the leap in home support. Chat gpt made an overestimate of 391.

Our average from the 36 predictions including Chat gpt was 4061, which would just about have made the top twenty table.
