I smell a 5-2. Cambridge go 2-0 up early to send the terrace into meltdown and then we pump them second-half with Bez getting an unprecedented double quadruple. Or we lose 1-0, because it’s just one of those days against a team that all logic suggests we should beat.

It’s been such a good start that it got a bit arrogant playing out the back. Some of the newer players are much better on the half turn than some of the older heads. Grimmer and Scowen aren’t very good at it. And then it catches them out in their channel during that phase of play. We should still win this, but this is a bit like how we played at the beginning of last season. Too much faff. Our goal came from no faff hitting the channel.

Bottom of the league at home - free scoring - good recent form - we know what this means being a Wycombe fan.
Won't be easy but expecting a win by a couple of goals. Won't keep a clean sheet, so 3-1 Wycombe

@FlyingPostman and @williwycombe , you would both be more than welcome to join our score prediction contest.
Nailed on for a disappointing 0-0.

Do Cambridge have a very small squad?
Just needed ‘quid for a kid’ to seal the deal!
Oh we of little faith. Very few teams in this season’s League 1 will keep clean sheets against us (says he, more in hope than expectation).
Welcome back Pete. I’m sure he will get a good response from the fans. Really embraced Wycombe.
Great line up. Serious quality in that starting team. Exactly as I’d have picked. Could be a big win today!
Great line up. Surprised Wheeler didn’t make bench or any right back cover. Probably don’t need Butcher and Bakinson
Who plays wide left? 4-4-2 perhaps with McCleary, Scowen, Humphreys and Morley in midfield behind Udoh and Kone?
Nominally Udoh. All fluid these days innit
McCleary at times, sort of diamond of some sort maybe?
2 goals for Udoh and 1 for GMac, so 4-3 defeat incoming.
Seriously though, it makes me nervous how confident some of our fans are. But good nerves. Can we just go and tonk them 6-0 please?

Fantastic!
If Jack gets injured/sent off (heaven forfend) I expect Joe Low would move across and Skura would come into the middle.
Saving Pattenden and McCarthy for Tuesday, of course!!
Great finish, presumably awful defending if that was onside
Come on!
We've played really well up to that. It's not giving it away at the back that caused that, it's not reacting well.

Pish defending to let them get there.
They are very agricultural.
We need to stop the fannying around at the back & use our speed out wide/upfront as thay are there for the taking.
It's been much more purposeful than last season, but you're right that Grimmer is the weaker link in the build up
Making them look better than they are here.
That's why I suggested he should be dropped.
Yep , tricky one for Blooms to manage. Making him skipper may be difficult to untangle
Right now,the options are Wheeler out of position, or McCarthy, none are better than Grimmer
