I tend to agree. I think he’s the glue of the forward line. He manages the ball superbly. His decision making is exceptional. Looking forward to seeing him start some games again soon!
Squad filling up nicely, invariably a few will be injured at any time but should have good options in all but the worse case scenarios. Nobody has mentioned Vokes or Hanlan for a while either.

Anyone else? We have been in much worse spots. Time for us now to consistently beat the lower teams and see how far it takes us. The 4 or 5 hugely funded teams can't win every week and we might fancy ourselves against some of them if we can find a good run of form.
honest and hardworking player, but do not think he improves the starting 11, can only see him coming on if we are defending a lead and need someone with energy , we have much better options in the squad imo
Both Grimmer and McCarthy look to play the simple ball to GMac, occasionally overlap and cross, but their end product is very mixed. I like Jack and he’s a good leader but I’m in agreement that he’s limited and got targeted as a weak link last weekend.
Probably only Udoh and Vokes are in the same league as Wheels in the air. His big strength is his versatility but maybe with more subs available and a bigger squad that is less of an issue than it has been. Maybe it's his character and the range of what he offers but I'm always happy to see Wheels about the place even if he isn't first choice all the time.
Not like me to be negative but he would probably have been excoriated for that miss when clean through and one on one with the goalkeeper had he not already scored a hat trick!
NB Yet another of my posts discovered long after I wrote it and failed to post but I think it’s still valid.
For his 200th he should come off the bench for the last five mins and play in goal, just about the only position he hasn’t played. I bet he would be pretty good as well!
David Wheeler has probably made more substitute appearances than any other Wycombe player in history but an average of 40 appearances per season is a remarkable achievement and speaks volumes for his fitness.
Yes Gaz ‘being his own man’ is an interesting one. Certainly well branded but in the clean cut / little quarter zip top / those shoes with white soles world of contemporary management he is in danger of looking outdated as his record collection.

Don't forget young Gideon Kodua...
I thought Wheels had a great game on Tuesday; how good he is in the air somehow surprises me every time. Caused Villa some problems down the right.
Up against a Champions League finalist (?) in Ian Maatsen.
How many games has Wheels played for us now, he seems to have been here for years now. A great servant to the club and always puts in a real shift.
I think he’s on his 199th appearance for us over 5 seasons
Thank you @wwfcblue 👍

A very valuable Swiss Army knife.
He has very sensible hair too.
Really enjoyed his playlist picks too. Wheels is a really nice guy, as if I didn’t know that already!
And so has Matt Bloomfield. Very smart fade. I thought GA looked a bit of a sketch in the Sky studio on Tuesday evening.
