Correct, a 3-2 win at Vetch Field in the 1st round of the Carling Cup. Goals by Easter, Oakes and winner in extra time by Williamson who also scored an own goal.
It was at the Liberty. Two months before I moved to Swansea. Lost the next season in the LDV and didn't play up here until the championship season. I'm not quite as close as Chris and I won't be here if the game is on the Wednesday which I suspect it will be.
I'm sure Swansea are trying to get it played on Wednesday. Since we have an early kick off on Saturday hopefully we're trying equally hard to have it played on Tuesday!
Feel like I’m alone in thinking it’s a good tie! Ok so home would be better, but no pressure on us, the cup suddenly gets very interesting if we win and a great opportunity to challenge ourselves against championship opposition.
I’m easily confused. Shouldn’t it be “down here” ie there. Never think of Swansea as being up north (like Wrexham). And a comma after “before” would change the meaning from before to after you moved there. Or is it from after to before?
In the important context of when the match will be played it doesn’t matter a jot of course.
In the strictest sense I suppose it should be across here or there! The match in the cup was two months before I moved to Swansea so I don't think the comma would work. And you're absolutely right it doesn't bare too much relevance in the date of the match (which still hasn't been released!)
That’s a kindly response to an undeserving pedant. A comma would have conveyed the meaning (incorrectly of course) that you had moved to Swansea two months before the match. I really only raised that issue to demonstrate how a comma can totally alter the meaning of something. No wonder lawyers tend to use only full stops.
I was amazed to learn that Edinburgh is west of Bristol. This “map” just confused me.

West Ham would be the dream game, I suppose.
Yes, the Potts derby! Any of the PL London clubs or QPR would be good with me.
I am going to guess Bournemouth away though. Because I am always wrong.
Away to Swansea
Swansea away.
Well that’s about the worst draw possible! Haha
Boring and difficult. The killer combination!
Swan on swan action
That's not what I was hoping for....
Yup, exactly that. Oh well. There’s always the FA Cup I suppose.
Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle looks to be the big one
Decent draw, always in with a shout in one off cup games & a biggish day out
I'm happy. I live a mile away from the Swans ground.
Nice stroll on a Tuesday to the game!
With Swansea v Cardiff taking place on Sunday 25th August, I suspect we could be one of the Wednesday night Carabao Cup ties.
Not ideal for us with a trip to Blackpool on Saturday 31st
We won away at Swansea on our way to the semi final didn't we?

It's the Tuesday at the moment

Yeah, just looked, Wycombe site and BBC have got Tuesday, nothing on the Swans.
Swansea v Cardiff is a 3pm kick off on the Sunday. Zero chance this is played on the Tuesday

You’re correct about the venue, my mistake as I hadn’t realised that they moved that long ago.

Edited to replace an expletive with jot.

Tbf. Swansea is on a more northerly latitude than the Chair Metropolis. Just.
And Edinburgh is West of Bristol.
