Carabao Cup Draw
Northampton away.
Seeing as there is not much to add to that, I would pose the question: how would you fix the EFL Cup and/or Trophy?
For me, I would combine the two as the new EFL Cup, kick out PL and U21 teams, making it for the 72 EFL clubs only, and negotiate the winner going into the Europa Conference League for a proper carrot at the end.

For the EFL Cup, I would kick-out all those that are involved in the Europe. I would also bring in a rule that when naming the squads for the semi-final and finals that 85% of the squad would have needed to play at least 3 or more of the rounds before that fixture to be eligible
Kick Prem teams out the EFL Cup. They don't care about it. It would make the FA cup special again.
Championship teams then have a proper piece of silverware to go after.
Scrap the EFL trophy or make it far more interesting - perhaps an invitational with clubs from the rest of the UK or even Western/Northern europe.
Never understood why the FL didn't throw the PL clubs out of the League Cup in 1992.
kill the EFL cup. Really serves no purpose.
EFL Trophy serves its purpose. Leave as is.
Get Trump to do the draw again
According to the Birmingham City fans forum, if you can read the posts amongst the plethora of pop-up ads, every game in L1 is 'like the first round of the Carabao Cup'.
They sem to believe they can get 3 points from every game, and have promotion wrapped up by March.
Let's hope that a world of pain awaits the arrogant thick Brummies when they come to AP for their first away game, and then their players wake up to the realities of L1 football when they get kicked up in the air by the likes of Stevenage.
Even if they do get promoted (which is well possible) it will not be smooth sailing and there will be many "welcome to L1" moments.
I tend to go easy on their fans because, at the end of the day, those poor sods have to live in Birmingham.
Yes, but some of us have to live in Wycombe!!
