Never used Instagram but I assume it's just a case of clicking to "follow" an account.
So the Bayo effect probably meant 10s of thousands of those follows but is there any sign these "followers" are any more active or benefit to the club since?
We're advertising quite a few new roles on LinkedIn, which is encouraging, including a new First Team Analyst and a Football Operations Assistant. Is this the start of a Lomtadze hiring spree?
Unfortunately the sequel will be dark - Oakland's trust fund baby owner pulled them out of the city and is trying to move them to Vegas. If there is one thing I hate the most about sports over here, it is billionaire owners somehow getting public handouts, and being perfectly willing to relocate to get the best deal.
Vegas would have been ok (it is a mecca of sport now with NHL, NFL, etc) but it seems like the owners are playing games and moving the A's to Sacramento! Hardly has the same glamour
They are saying it is temporary, but a lot of people think they will never leave Sacramento now they are there.
I am just fed up with the public funding and the blackmail these billionaires engage in, including propaganda about how good stadiums are for cities to spend money on (research has shown that to be unsupported). Sports is not the end all and be all, but does affect the emotions of billions, and to have these owners engaging in brinkmanship like they so often do is just ridiculous. It makes it a little harder to get attached to any teams here aside from those which are so historical that they would never leave.
It certainly was part of the plan but probably not so soon, possible the new guys have the information they need and are ready to take charge, other possibilities obviously exist.

The figures massively went up when Bayo arrived and have plateaued since he left.
He has more followers than Wrexham on Instagram

Sign that he wants to use data and digital.
We're playing moneyball people...
I thought we were doing this anyway?
I love Moneyball. Great story.
Looks like we will now be looking for a new head of medical as well. ‘Leaving to pursue other opportunities’ - is that a push or a jump?

If they suddenly put plans in place to expand Saunderton station, it’ll be the sign.

Would like to know this too.
Ten years in the same job/field - could be as simple as "leaving to pursue other opportunities" as it might be a bit of a glass ceiling he's hit.

9pm news that Rob C has officially stepped down then, with Dan Rice appointed interim chairman of the board.
Strange time for a release that.
Well I thought we were looking at a smooth transition but bang Rob has gone
Uh oh. That can't have been part of the plan
He isn't actually stupid enough to be buying Reading is he?
Suddenly stepping down after being reportedly spotted at Reading's stadium recently....?
I think (hope) most of us will be wishing Rob all the best and thanking him for an incredible five years.
Maybe the transition needed was just this last 3-4 weeks or whatever it's been.
I suppose we all assumed it'd be a fair bit longer.
Ainsworth for Reading?

Not sure it's his style to not be in charge.
He said he was leaving us because he's getting on, doesn't want the long trips, and doesn't have Pete as the legacy anymore.
So it'd be unreal if he suddenly pitched up there.
To be fair it is very difficult to go from Rob’s position of owner and making all the calls, to what was an advisor type role.
He was watching the England game and decided he now hates football.
Anyone watching England friendlies only has themselves to blame.
The statement was released during an England game and not put on Twitter which is generally where club news breaks.
This feels hasty and like something else is going on..
No way he can afford Reading, unless as a minority investor with a bigger fish where he can stay in the U.S. Even then - why would he?
I was tempted to adjust that by removing "friendlies" but thought better of it.
He’s been, in his words, “Trying to persuade some guys to go in for Reading”.
Could it be that they want him formally involved in the running of the RFC and therefore he has to relinquish his relationship with WWFC ?
