That's one way to ensure more Premier League teams go through (and avoid embarrassment) I remember the days when replays, more than one if required, were played on a neutral ground, At least that was one thing I agreed with ending, but multiple replays were kept going for a few more years. As has been said many times the EPL is ruining the game for us of lower status. When the EPL was set up all those years ago I and quite a few of my friends said give it a few years and those "top six" teams who forced the Premier League onto us, will want an European League, it took a lot longer than any of us thought but that was blocked by fan power. Can't see fan power winning this time though. Losing replays in Rounds 1 & 2 makes no sense as those dates do not affect the prem. clubs, but the fans of the top tier clubs are not affected by the loss of those two replays, so the media will not be bothered to make much "noise" about it.
