Beginning to believe more strongly that we are going to significantly cut our cloth over the next six-twelve months. Even though I quite like the first looks of Skura, none of these players have proven ability to play League 1/2 football, so it’s quite surprising to see four (!) all offered new deals. Excited to see how they develop, but do tend to feel slightly disappointed with this news.
Blooms rubbish. What will an y of these.do! We are a joke. Bring back Gaz as he is streets ahead of Bl0oms even though I did threaten to get rid of my season ticket multiple times when he was here and was clueless.
You feel disappointed that we’re keeping four young players who the club think are doing well rather than releasing them. That’s a bit of a weird take isn’t it?
Yeah I know it’s a strange take. On the face of things, I think it’s great to see them sign on, but I think it’s highly likely they will have signed on to replace much more senior players in an effort to cut costs. This window definitely feels like a cost-cutting window. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but will they be of sufficient quality to start games in League 1 next season? I hope so, but fear not. Sorry to be negative.
I do really like the look of Skura though. Very pleased we’ve given him a deal. I know the coaches rate him highly.
It must be really hard for these lads to develop. Rarely getting a look in for the first team squad and loans are well down the pyramid. I suppose training full time gives them an insight into pro football but it still gives them a massive step to make.

Great, very promising news.
A good day for the devs all round!

I’ll save Blueword a job.

I suspect @frequentstander would also have felt disappointed if all or some of these kids were released.....
I wonder if like me, he struggled to remember the surnames of some of "Declan, Taylor, Laurie and Christie"
As long as they're good enough for League 2...
I would have been disappointed if Skura was released.
I’m yet to be enamoured by Christie, although he had a bad injury.
The jury is obviously out on Taylor Clark and Laurie Shala. Nice of you to throw in a cheap dig at me though. Quite enjoyed that.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. As is forward planning.
Glad I don't have to do either for a football team!
Rice, Swift, Sanchez and.......Agatha?
Where's the dig?
Donnelly, Phil ‘the Power’, Anderson and Moore
If he can say injury free Christie Ward will play a Potts role next season. But it’s a big if.

I saw this thread title and misread it as @DevC announcing a sponsor deal for the score prediction competition.
Any news on Luca Woodhouse or is he already signed up?
You’ve been banging on about him for about 18 months now and he’s yet to have shown any ability whatsoever. I hope you’re right.
