On Talk Sport this morning “of course I miss it (management), I’ll miss it till the day they screw down that lid”.
Director of Football / consultancy role to mentor the inexperienced?
Does he still live In Beaconsfield? @glasshalffull time for a loo break?

I know this is a Wycombe Wanderers forum mostly populated by Nottingham Forest fans, but I can’t believe this is a serious suggestion.
I assumed it was tongue-in-cheek
It doesn't even bear thinking about how bad it'd be if we did bring MON back in and it didn't work.
It's bad enough facing the fear of an ex legendary player not cutting the mustard.
His book is outstanding
How much of it covers Wycombe?
Much as I love MON (for European Cups so not just for Wycombe reasons) hasn't the footballing moved on since he was last involved especially at our level. Having seen him and Psycho struggle when returning to places they are beloved, I'm not so sure.
Aren't we back playing 442 with wingers and a big man / little man strike partnership? He'd be right at home.
Young progressive coach who does not seem to know what he's doing or stubborn old head stuck in the past?
Good for the heated debate on the Gasroom, if nothing else. 😊
I’d love MON to return
I too have a silly little dream.
At least add MoN to Matt’s WWFC WhatsApp group, after all if the country is governed via WhatsApp why not WWFC.
Who can tell these days.
He left Beaconsfield when he heard that Revs was closing! Actually, he moved to London a couple of years ago to be closer to his daughters…must excuse myself, need the loo.
Will live MON till the day I die.
Is it only me though, who when you think of him can hear him saying “Hi-Ever” in you head???
There's a good 20/30 ish pages on his time at Wycombe, it was great in context of where he had come from and how he really adapted to life in Wycombe. The early part of the book on his playing career was very interesting. He left Northern Ireland to join Nottingham Forest and subsequently his family came to live with him (against his wishes) to escape the troubles. His Forest career and relationship with Brian Clough were very interesting. He has a brilliant way with words and I couldn't put it down.
Never out of your thoughts.
"Monumental" will always be the O'Neill word for me.
I listened to it on Audible (wonderfully read by the great man) so 'Coventry' will never be the same for me
For me its the word "absolutely"
