Agree @railwaysteve that was a terrible day and I also hope we either pip them to the play-offs or someone else does. Comprehensively battered is exactly right!
Ah no, sorry for giving that impression! The tweets just sounded a tiny bit weird to me, so I just thought "oh I wonder if this is a build-up to something getting announced" but I certainly didn't catch on to what it was before they told me :)
It really didn't sound like that when Freddie Potts was interviewed - he said he was looking forward to a West Ham link up with plenty of goals and assists. And breathe! 🙂
I think we’ll be seeing plenty of him, but yesterday was too soon. He had spent just two days with the club, wouldn’t have played any part in the build up to the game, has never played in the EFL and probably doesn’t yet even know the names of our players.
You were by no means alone. We were jumping the gun a bit in terms of our expectations of Gideon and Richard (especially the former, for the reasons @glasshalffull adduces above). But our time will come.

The first letter of the official Twitter's last two posts makes JG - you heard it here first, John Gorman is coming back!
LOL. A very important demographic, I would argue.

Really pleased with this for several reason.
1) He seems like a great prospect, the usual reservations about academy players notwithstanding.
2) It suggests Blooms is developing a good relationship with West Ham. That can’t be bad.
3) It makes it less likely West Ham are unhappy with Freddie Potts’ situation, I’ve been having a recurring nightmare where they recall him for weeks.
As long as it’s not a ‘like for like’ swap with Freddie returning!?

For full disclosure, I am beside myself with excitement about tomorrow's game.
Some excellent incomings and some welcome departures.
What a difference a few weeks make!
Especially so if Gideon is merged with Kone
Apologies to the Stevenage/Steve Evans fan.
About 15 years ago I saw a guy called Gideon Conn at a music festival, he was strange but good fun.
Plus Richard (Stuart) MaKone.
This player Kodua woulda shoulda come on yesterday imho.

If anyone should know a thing or two about the need to know players names it would be a commentator!
Some good points well made @glasshalffull.
@micra ’adduces’ - word of the day, nay w/e👍
It's a word I use frequently in legal submissions, as in 'The Claimant adduces the following documents as supporting evidence'.
And your point is?
