It was a good night overall - I just wish we had been a bit more ruthless. Sadlier was the standout, and considering he can take players on, pass AND cross well, I join with the others who say he has to start. The lad did play for a decent Bolton team last season after all!
I am glad Dale got a couple of goals, to get some confidence back. Nice finishes too. Big Chris's finish was superb, of course!
Most of all, brilliant to see Leahy back. Only Vokes and Potts to go and we will be a different proposition.
Pleased we're through and we played very well in the 1st half. It didn't turn about to be the confidence building scoreline it could've been though. Rather disheartening to see us having to hold on at the end. Still, it's a win and a much needed one.
That was a thoroughly entertaining game at Adams Park this evening. A shame such a small crowd was there to witness it. However, those that do go got a real lift after Saturday’s debacle. Roll on the Shrews!

POTD for me.....a genuine LOL
G Mac is playing a great game tonight, should we play both him and Sadlier?
Can't believe we haven't finished this one off.
Absolute ThunderRocket from Chris there!
Hurrah!
I wish the website would stop telling me everything is temporary....
Bugger
Oh my word. Can't tell that if that is bad goalkeeping or just unlucky.
Best game of the season this
That's why....
Im not there....or watching... I hope not bad goal keeping cos we need one of them On form!!
Cross hit one of our players at the corner of the area and looped perfectly in. The goalie had a long time to see it, but may have been just unlucky.
Hopefully Shrewsbury are worse than the Fulham kids.
They hit the bar.
Sorry....De Barr (OG)
Playing in the corner against Fulham boys. Sigh.
Job done - I suppose the win is the main thing. Could have been 5-1 the way we played most of the game.
West Ham Schoolboys next please.
Current options are:
West Ham U21 (2-0 up)
Oxford (final)
Brighton U21 (final)
Peterborough (3-0 up)
Bristol Rovers (1-0 up)
Reading or Charlton (tomorrow)
Portsmouth or Wimbledon (19th)
Not sure if we can play Wimbledon as they were in our group, though?
And the confetti rains down.
Isn't it the cliche that it's good that the games are coming thick and fast if you want to pick up some momentum ?
And everything was well with the world again.
Or something

Completely stupid competition. Really glad we’re still in it.
Where were the fireworks?
I dunno West Ham have always been known for having a strong academy.
GMac played well in the 10 role tonight I thought.

Agreed, we looked so much slicker going forward.
Still concerned about our defence, we were very shaky when they attacked us with pace.
