Comments
Apologies if already posted somewhere but Thursday 16th Nov could be an entertaining evening out in Amersham
you make a good point about checking to make sure that the games are on.
I will point out that Slough have an artificial pitch (not sure what the official name is for it in my day it was Astroturf!) so the game is almost certain to go ahead
The problem gets worse the lower down the pyramid you go as these clubs don’t have the resources to spend so much on ground preparation. Regarding the Woking v Oldham match, the Woking manager (Darren Sarll) has been sacked today.
Note that Amersham Town v Yateley Utd is a 2pm kick-off.
Some games have been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Amersham Town v Yateley Utd OFF
Marlow v Chertsey Town OFF
Risborough Rangers v Harefield United OFF
Flackwell Heath are waiting on a pitch inspection.
Hayes & Yeading v Bracknell Town is already off because Bracknell are playing in the FA Trophy.
Flackwell Heath v Chalfont St Peter just called OFF.
Woking 0 Oldham Athletic 1. An average National League match in front of a decent 3,057 crowd at Kingfield (Oldham brought about 450). Both sides played 4-2-3-1 in the first-half which tended to cancel each other out.
Towards the break Oldham started to stretch the game with some dangerous counter-attacks but Oldham dominated the second-half & deservedly took the lead. Although Woking had a couple of chances late in stoppage time Oldham were the better side & thoroughly deserved the 3 points.
