Following on from the unusual situation which lead to our first goal on Saturday and the Liverpool "goal" that wasn't given by VAR I've just discovered you can score an own goal in rugby
In the second half Vokes did a somewhat exaggerated version of trying to hide behind the keeper again, in front of the terrace, which the keeper spotted and took in good spirit too.
As per the Carlisle match thread, on the video from behind the goal you can hear some shouts before Sam moves, those increase as he moves but the keeper is looking to his right and only sees Sam when he is past and on the ball. The Carlisle players should have made it clear he was there. They didn't, inexplicably.
There was definitely some crowd noise although those videos can be deceiving as he's filming from nearer the crowd. Goalies get so much stick though there must be an element of trying to block out the crowd and concentrate on what you are doing. Well done for Vokesey trying something.

The Voakes incident on Saturday reminds me of the great Paul Hyde, who very deliberately looked over each shoulder before kicking out of hands.
I can't get my head around how nobody (players or fans) warned the keeper? Vokes was lurking for a good 5 seconds....

Captured perfectly in this weeks match day rewind - a wry smile exchanged between Vokes and the keeper.
