Jack Young in Ayr United’s demolition of Queens Park at Hampden Park

With a centre midfield pairing of WW’s Jack Young & ex-Barnet Youth Team captain Roy Syla Ayr United romped to a convincing 5-2 win over Queens Park in the Scottish Championship tonight at Hampden Park.

Ayr completely dismantled Queens Park in the first-half to lead 4-1 at half-time. Some brilliant counter-attacking and clinical finishing saw the visitors stun the 1,651 crowd, including about 500 from Ayr. A further goal to each side made this a seven goal night on entertainment in lovely conditions for football. Jack Young was finally substituted to a standing ovation from the Ayr fans in the 86th minute, along with Aberdeen loanee Logan Chalmers who scored the opening two goals for the visitors. A great way to spend a Friday evening in Glasgow:
