...but i've passed '21 days of receipt'. Surely if there's a manufacturing issue there should be a product recall rather than it being a standard return within x amount of days? As I mentioned this issue only showed itself this week.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, any goods sold by a trader to a consumer must be fit for a particular purpose (Section 10).
The consumer has a short term right to reject the goods within 30 days of taking delivery (Section 20), and a final right to reject within the first 6 months (Sections 23 and 24), having first given the trader the opportunity to repair or replace the goods.
Therefore, any arbitrary terms stated by the trader, e.g. 'return within X days', have no legal effect, and do not detract from a consumer's rights under this legislation.
Thanks @bargepole that's helpful. One other thing to mention... If a shirt is returned using the clubs postage returns label and a refund is given...the cost to the supporter is still £4.50 (original shipping) + £3.95 (returns postage) = £8.45 out of pocket.
Absolute shambles. Kit not ready pre season ( I would have thought best sales time) and it’s sub standard. I hope the club hammer Hummel and seek some compensation.
Just to say there have been no complaints yet re the ‘MCS!’ shirt (seen here @ Rovers away). Obs the shirt is also available in non-reverse mirror layout😉
Good spot. That was a pre-launch ‘Gaz giveaway’, we are hoping to get more long plugs in for the Xmas rush but that second generation will be on the opposition sleeve.
Such a shambles this season. We've had the odd delay before though probably not as long as this season? But the kits coming apart after 1 wash is a shocker.
Glad I've held off so far. The ones I had a look at in the club shop didn't half feel a bit flimsy.
"while all faulty items purchased in-store at Adams Park should only be brought back to the shop." Isn't particularly ideal either for those a bit further away. If they released this news on Sunday morning I could have walked it back

The Hummel logo on mine came off this week....
Yep, sounds like they're going to be getting a lot of returns...
It would have been better if the Hummel logo and WWFC badge had been printed on the shirt, rather than stitched on.

This whole thing has been an absolute disaster

Hummel reputation:
Hummel reality:
If it's faulty, you should get all of that back, but you might have to kick up a bit of a fuss...
Should’ve gone with Bukta.

Suddenly the old kit seem good value at 25% off. 😂
Such a shame as its a great looking kit, with the better lighter blue as well. But it is indeed a shambles
You can see why other clubs have dumped them ! Didn't Bristol City dump them half way through a season ?

Time for the 1887 to dig out that old favourite “da da d da - f*€k*n useless”
Yep! For O'Neills, funnily enough.
Match day promo : Send us a photo of your peeling badge worn at tonight’s Palace game for a “once in a lifetime” discount on the whole MCS! range.
Does the sleeve hair come as standard or as an optional add on? asking for a friend.

I'm glad my physique ensures that I refuse to countenance such a purchase
Lol, haven't even worn mine yet
Not worn mine either.

The club shop workers will not be looking forward to the next home game!
"Nah mate, How about 3 percent off last year's instead "

It’s not all doom and gloom. Mine arrived in Australia only ten days after I ordered it. The return might be a bit of a faff however!
Worth remembering that none of this is their fault!
The club has advised me, "if your Hummell badge comes off in the wash, replace it with a Nike badge and it should be ok"
