But just to recap if you want to take the knee that’s fine. You are not any better than anyone else and you are certainly no worse. If you don’t take the knee you are not a racist. If I felt one of my pals felt strongly about it I would do it as a show of having their back.

In the PL, they're only doing it on 'significant occasions', so the joining weekend plus I think during Kick It Out month and some others. Maybe that's filtered down to the EFL?

Is there a connection between people who say it's a disgrace this gesture is carried out due to the politics of BLM and those who now insist covid was totally made up and it was about control?

I have no objection to taking the knee, a gesture originally started by NFL quarterback Colin Kapernick, and which has now spread to most team sports. It's a matter of personal choice for the players, and I've seen that some of the WW team do it before the start of each game.
And the fact that Kap has effectively been exiled from the NFL as a result illustrates perfectly why it was necessary in the first place. Thankfully, attitudes over here seem healthier (although the States don't exactly set a high bar).
The taking the knee debate, the player with a criminal record debate, the chips debate, a Couhig upsetting the fans debate....are we peaking too early?
Oh don't. The idea of having to read Dev saying she'd "served her time" when she's done 15 years and how she's "entitled" to go back into the only job she knows would not be a good read.
I reckon a full life term might be on the cards. Though I also hope the shocking managers still working or on massive pensions have to answer for the deaths of at least three of the babies who died after over ruling doctors demands for her removal.
