plus ca change…Scowen.
Though Boyes made a credible claim for the accolade, I felt that Scowen changed the game the moment he came on, even though ultimately we couldn’t get back in it.
Great save from Stryjek too in fairness, a much-needed morale boost after that shocker of a start.
I went with Boyes, but Scowen is never the wrong answer here either. Stone cold pen too.
Max needs to channel his anger better but redeemed himself with a quality save from the penalty & did little wrong after that
Boyes, Vincent-Young, Potts, Taylor & Leahy all had really solid games & will only improve
Forino looked solid when he came on & made a difference to our defence, which to that point had looked very shaky.
But the game changer was Scowen, we almost immediately looked a better side when he came on; so he gets my vote this week.
Boyes for me. Scowen as usual improved us immediately.
I missed the first half (lucky me). KVY and Boyes both had strong claims in the second half but Scowen’s introduction seems to have been the main game changer and he gets my vote.
Have to go with Scowen as no-one (apart from Max for his penalty save) in blue in the first 45 minutes looked like they’d played football before.
Second half there were semi-decent performances from quite a few and that has to be connected to the stability that Scowen brought
It was Leahy. But would have been Scowen had he started. As usual.

New season, same story.
When we play well Scowen is a class act. When we play badly he stands head and shoulders in quality above everyone else.
Or when he's not playing we don't play very well either.
Sadly, that too.
As Scowen came on as a sub, his votes per start score is already 'infinity', which is good even for him.
