Current squad statistics
According to Transfermarkt, here are the stats for the current squad, not to include loanees. A few years ago this would have been very different, with the amount of appearances, goals and assists from the likes of Bayo, Blooms, Stewart, Kashket, Gape, Thompson, Freeman etc. The fact that 10 goals is good for 6th and 100 appearances would be good for 7th shows how much things have changed.
I plan on updating this list periodically.

99 goal involvements for JJ. I’ll leave this here for @bluntphil to pick up for comms.
Come early next year though we will have nine players with over 100 appearances. I bet that’s unique in League One.
Thanks Shev that is excellent stuff and very much appreciated. The stats tables used to be my favourite pages of our programme.
Hear hear to that. Terrific effort by @Shev. And the longevity of so many players (and of course the fact that so many have returned after spending time elsewhere) is a reflection of the great esteem in which this special club is held.
Well played @Shev ! I can't wait for all of our new loan signings to get some minutes under their belts and be on that list too!
Agreed. I used to love focusing on the stats page, re-reading the programme a few times after the game.
Are the stats even buried on the website anywhere these days?
As long as the stats @Shev has picked up are spot on, it's a brilliant feature to have on here
Seems surprising Scowen has racked up 19 assists from his position doesn't it!
It does.
All crunching tackles that led to the ball rolling to a colleague in a goal scoring position.
For the non-Sparts, what the Guardian Preview says. Derby, Portsmouth and Bolton seem to be their picks for top three.
There is a quiet evolution going on at Adams Park, where Matt Bloomfield, the Wycombe manager, has brought in his former teammate Richard Keogh, 36, and added Luke Leahy, a star performer for Shrewsbury. They will dovetail with three Premier League loanees, including Dale Taylor, who spent last season at Burton. It looks a promising blend.
It does seem as though all of our players are either wily veterans or very young. Not many in that 24-27 range.
This may only interest me, but I have added this as it is a bit of a mind-blowing indication of how many longtime servants we have lost lately. This is the top ten for each category if you include players who left us in just the last couple of years (I fudged a bit and went to three for Sido).
This sums it up...
Average appearances for top ten: Current - 148.3 Incl. recent departures - 259
Average goals for top ten: Current - 14.9 Incl. recent departures - 29.9
Average assists for top ten: Current - 14 Incl. recent departures - 22
I know every club has turnover, but we have surely seen an unusually high amount of long time successes depart recently.
Thought I would update this, though I decided to include loanees this time, Instead of the recent rankings for the second chart, I went with all time league top ten, with the active player closest to the top ten also highlighted with their position.

All time stats (league era):
Great work @Shev
Can JJ get that 1 goal to go into 3rd in his own right? He's probably got 9 more appearances in him to hit the big 400.
Was surprised to see Senda 3rd on our all time list as my perception is that the delightful "Benda" boys partnership with Betsy was a couple of season job. But I know he was here from a teen before being a regular.
I think JJ will get both, and incredible how far ahead he is on assists!
It would have been interesting to see how high Vokes could have climbed in the goals without the injuries. 17 in his first season, on pace for 51 in three seasons without the stop start nature of the past season and a half.
Considering they are in that top 10 appearance list and were key parts of the famous Fa Cup team, we don''t hear much of/from Simpson, Taylor or Vinnicombe. Is there a reason for that? i.e we've heard from Ryan, Brown and Senda in recent years but not the other 3.
I think all three live some distance away which might explain the lack of Wycombe visits. If they are still involved in football full time then Saturdays are out.
Simmo is still playing.
Thanks, that makes sense.
Guess not all of them are as media friendly and some of them now have regular jobs and live a long way away. They'll have fond memories of that time you'd hope but lots of that squad were only here for a relatively short time in long careers - and late stage Sanchez and then Tony Adams really finished off a lot of those players here in less than ideal circumstances.
Simmo is still playing? That's extraordinary!
He’ll be 50 in February. Currently starring for Mickleover Country Park B Veterans FC !!
99 goal involvements but the pitch undersoil heating ain't on
99 problems but the pitch ain't warm?
