drawing a well deserved veil over the back to the 70s “humour”, it must be a miserable life being a back up keeper.
long away trips on a coach knowing there is almost no chance of getting a game and even if the first choice does get injured and you get 15 minutes to play, knowing that a loan keeper would come in for the next game.
At least he’ll get a game in the Pizza and the B&B I guess.
I agree with @Alexo but watching the interview with @bluntphil I couldn’t help feeling slightly sad about what seemed likely to be weeks or months on end with few if any opportunities to play in competitive matches in front of spectators but then it occurred to me that he might have the opportunity to play for a senior non-league club on loan with a recall clause in the event of injury or illness to Max.
But that would surely be a gamble too far and I have a feeling that in that situation we would be eligible to sign an experienced player on the basis of an emergency loan.
I just hope Laurie enjoys his time with us and at least gets to play in a few Cup games. I think players out on loan are eligible to do so.
It may be the case @micra that we bring him in and loan him out. If Lee H thinks he's got something about him... he may well be one for the future for us. He has age on his side and looks like a decent lad. Thats all we need worry about . he'll be well looked after by us. We look after our young boys and try our best to fast track them into decent players.

Poor lad destined to get a sore backside I fear.
This looks another good move for the club.
Good god man. What are you planning to do to him?!
Handsome chap admittedly but isn’t the club initiation still just a song standing on a chair?
Back-up goalkeepers do tend to spend most of their time on the bench, yes.
Call me an optimist, but I think he has every chance of being the greatest Kosovar goalkeeper in our history.
I know, I know - I'm getting ahead of myself.
Marie is waiting for him, so who knows ...
Public schools 🙄
Have we ever signed anyone who looks older than Richard Keogh or anyone who looks younger than Laurie Shala?

Hes very young @DevC .... and I'm sure he knows the routine.
I'm sure he is exceptionally happy to sign for a league 1 club and excited to be able to learn and progress while here.
Lee Harrison and big Max will be amazing for him to train and learn from

Gawd...it comes to something when the new goalkeeper and the new goalkeeper shirt make you feel as old as the hills.
The new goalkeeper makes me feel ancient. The new goalkeeper shirt just makes me really want a bhuna.
I'd demolish a bhuna right now 🙃
The new goalkeeper will talk about most of my life being in 'The Nineteen Hundreds'
