Loved the Doc, always had him on a par with Graham Kavanagh on the love to hate oppo players, another midfielder I wish we'd been able to see in the quarters. However, Kavanagh was exceptional and went onto bigger and better things. Doherty never quite hit the levels for us that he did for Bristol City but still a brilliant one to watch.
For some reason I remember a guy, Richardson? (can't remember his first name), early 80s (@ChasHarps and @Steve_Peart to fact check) who had jet black hair and the hairiest legs I've ever seen...
Comments
Tommy Doherty had a beard and slightly long hair.
Sido's hair was always impressive, but I'm not convinced by that beard
Martin Blackler had a ponytail
The obvious recent front runner is 'the gaffer'
No mention of Sergio yet?!
ah what a player, only loved if he played for your team and hated by everyone else, fond memories of the niggly feisty fella
Have we ever had a player who enjoyed being a professional footballer less than the Doc?
he liked a tackle though...
Dave Alexander mass of curly hair and bushy beard.
Plenty in the 70s, such as Gary Hand.

Dave Alexander was possly the hairiest in the 70s, front second from left.
I remember Mark West as looking like he was wearing a mohair bodysuit

@LeedsBlue John Richardson, broke his leg against Leicester in the centenary celebration match.
Don't remember any hairy legs though.
Roger Grant, full back 73-74, probably the hairiest.
Steve Hardwick was a double for the Yorkshire Ripper photo fits.
Micky Nuttell had the thickets beaufont.
Marcus bean had plenty of hair
Who's the *baldest* Wycombe player of all time?
Tommy Mooney...
Surely Tommy Mooney?
Snap!
Guy Branston was pretty bald.
Steve Brown
Thickest bouffant?
@Thicketblue might have something to say about that.
Sir Terence of Glynn was probably our youngest baldy.
Chris Way definitely the youngest ever grey head.
Michael Simpson had a bad tackle in him from time to time
Also, Jason Cousins would never back down from a challenge
Surely we must be due to sign Jonjo Shelvy...everyone else has.
Thanks Micra, but my reference to Thicket is either being dense or living in a wood - certainly not a rich luxurious head of hair.
Not Wycombe related - but who remembers Roger Connell and Kieron Summers from Slough Town / Walton & Hersham back in the day.
