Craven Cottage has always been one of my favourite London grounds, although not so much since the demise of the away end terracing. I had many enjoyable days watching Fulham Rugby League club there in the early 80s.
WWFC first played there on 17 December 1898, a 3-1 defeat in Southern League Division 2, in front of 650 spectators. I do like the Bucks Standard comment in the match report:
"The Craven Cottage ground is situated about a mile from everywhere, and is approached by dirty, narrow lanes".

Have Wanderers played there ?
Yes
This is a great idea.
I'm sorry I haven't a clue... but will have a guess at -
Walthamstow Avenue.
It looks by the coast to me. Weymouth?
It’s the original riverside stand at Craven Cottage.
Fratton Park ??
Yes @perfidious_albion you've nailed it! Two clues being the kit and the river 👍
Blimey the Thames is wider than I thought!
You can't say the kit is a clue when it's a black and white photo 😉
The triangles are the give

The "Rabbit Hutch" stand was short lived.
Any other current grounds as close to a river as Craven Cottage?
Brunton Park can't exactly be far - it's completely flooded before
the City Ground?
Arbroath is a few yards from the sea.
Of course! I've been there too 🤦
Meadow Lane too, although it might not be right on the banks
Inverness CT is a few yards from the Moray Firth.
Am I right in thinking that Shrewsbury's old ground was pretty close?
Yeah, they used to have a guy in a little boat to retrieve balls from the river.
I got the the old spy glass out and noticed @micra in row Z
I assume we win 'closest ground to an electricity pylon'?
Not current any more, but obviously Shrewsbury.
Sorry @railwaysteve , didn't see your post above.
Also, the old Runcorn ground was pretty close to the Mersey.
Spike Island, where the Stone Roses famously played, is just across the other side.
Molde FC?
Como (was there last month)
And here he is actually in the river and in the ground
Ross County very close to river and Cromarty Firth - stayed at the Camping and Caravan club site opposite the ground a few weeks ago.
Carrow Rd is pretty close to the river
I googled out of interest, that's very close to the sea ! Could get the ball in there on a good day I reckon
That's commitment to a PR shot right there
