Anyone know if we're keeping Dreams as main sponsor?
For me, the shades of blue are important too. I really disliked the "swan" O'Neils effort. It looked like it had been mixed in with the wrong colour washing. The Beechdean was was also a horrible light blue.
Anything with quarters in this seasons colours will be a winner. Quite fancy white shorts too....
That looks really good 👍
We had some quite decent new takes.
The one with the Swan design in.
The one with 2 layers of quarters in.
The red badge for Cherry red records.
While we need to keep the quarters, we need something a bit different or it can basically be the same kit repeatedly,
The colours have always varied a bit - even if we tried to keep them the same, it would be impossible while changing kit manufacturers as they're all going to have slightly different material sources.
Whilst I agree, and don't have a problem with some degree of variation (although what colours work will always be subjective), there really isn't a reason why changing supplier has to result in colour change. It's what CMYK and RAL (strictly speaking paints & plastics) standards were designed for.
Threads are not available in every RAL or pantone. It's not the same as paint and any requirement for custom coloured thread would likely hold a significant MOQ.
I learn at least one NAE (New Acronym Everyday).
I do feel fortunate every time we have a home kit release that we have such interesting colours to work with. Imagine being a fan of a blue/white/blue or red/white/red club trying to get excited about the latest edition.
The yellow and blue kit worn once was absolutely glorious. Hopefully we get something similar as the away kit at some point.
The present Mrs Bargepole works in the Dreams finance department, and nothing has been said about renewing the sponsorship deal, which comes to an end in July this year (three year deal).
Presumably the main shirt sponsor, whether it's Dreams or someone else, needs to be sorted before the new kit can be finalised.
Kids have had the Everton Hummel kits and they've been decent. I'm not a fan of the hummel badge on the back of the shorts, always think the shorts are on back to front.
I know Everton will have way more orders and some kits leftover but last week you could by this seasons full kids kit for between £8 and £12
I agree, but I believe it would be too close in terms of colouring to our first choice kit to be of much practical use.
Not if we did it in this design....
Is somebody on here getting royalties for every time that picture is used?
Was going to say. I've either popped in 5 or 6 times and nothing has moved on, or people keep posting that really weak tepid shirt.
Hummel did a GK shirt inspired by this classic for Bristol City - who, strangely, have ditched Hummel for O'Neills.
What this one?
It's a running gag.
'I see 150 new posts on a thread about our new kit, click on it only to find loads of pictures of a Coventry City shirt...there's not even any puns!'
There's no need to get quite so shirty about it @Wendoverman. If we need to pull our socks up just come out and say it, we don't want to be caught with our pants down.
If you look on the back of this shirt it has ‘Nick Freeman’ printed on it
There are 7 clubs that we would have to change shirts at away games this season. Reading, Wigan, Stockport, Bleaterboro, Portsmouth, Plucky non leagers and Shrewsbury.
So avoiding white and yellow is the key.
Is that not what a third kit is for?
Also Carlisle and Bristol Rovers.
If we draw Stockport away in the cup I'll be very impressed.
Stockport away = my No.1 most hated fixture. Nothing good has ever come out of it, over the years. Thank God they didn't get promoted...
Away end doesn't have a roof either, does it?
That's the cherry on the top, @ReturnToSenda !!
I did notice (or at least I think I did), that said away end now has seats. Open air, behind-the-goal seating, in the North West, in winter - what more could you want...?
It's had seats for quite a long time now, at least 15 years I'd say. I'm sure it was seated when we played them in the playoff semi in 2008.
@bluntphil what are the odds of that Coventry kit appearing somewhere in the background of a Wanderers TV video?
