Skura is a good player who can slot in when required. I can't see a crocked Taf going to a club struggling defensively...but he came to us crocked didn't he?
Taffs is a fantastic defender, and the fact he misses games means he is an ideal backup, as it gives us quality on the bench while at least limiting the chance that he gets injured while actually playing.
Sorry @Shev but I don’t agree with that. Keeping someone who we know will miss circa a third of our games is not acceptable. I like Taf but his injury record is terrible. It may sound a bit hard nosed but I would let Taf and McCarthy go in January and replace them with a few players to strengthen the squad even more.
January is important and if we are to keep the club moving forward we must improve the squad even further to sustain our challenge.
It will certainly show us to be a massive club with intent, to be able to sign a Championship quality defender who always stays healthy and is willing to ride the bench!
Christmas time in the USA is lovely. I spent a lot of time working in Boston and West Virginia and the holiday Xmas holiday season was always excellent.
agreed @drcongo Boston area at Christmas looks like something out of a hallmark Christmas movie whereas L.A. And .CA in general are weird with maybe a Santa here or there whilst people skateboard past in swimwear...... Weird.
I always think the weirdest is the southern hemisphere. My brother recently moved to Chile, and the idea of January being his summer and July being his winter takes some getting used to!
I wasn’t giving that as a reason that he would stay. I was saying from a personal point of view that he is a decent player and I enjoy that he is a decent bloke who is interactive with fans. I appreciate that the latter is not something he will use in weighing up his next career move. Sorry for the lack of clarity

He was injured for the start of his first season, yeah

How come you get a thumbs up for this but I got a thumbs down for making more or less the same point?

Sorry @Twizz - just re-read your post and realized how similar they are. I hate being unoriginal! Gave you your thumbs up now.
Do you think we would get a better defender than Taff to be willing to sit on the bench game in game out?
I think we could yes.
Looking forward to seeing that!
I hope we do.

It certainly will. Merry Xmas @Shev .
Any more information regarding the young Villa CB (Sil Swinkels), who we have been linked with?
Thank you for the kind words, mate! All the best to you and yours!

Sorry one more holiday than required before micra steps in 🤦.
I was in LA at Xmas once, it was weird.

Having worked in NYC the really weird things for me are:
With respect, I'm not sure any footballer would stay at a club based on "quality of chat with supporters after a game"
What if we throw in "quality of puns on the fan forum"?
Not following....

Patrick Bamford has been linked with a ~£3-5m move to Birmingham, Wrexham, or Genoa. Potential loan move as well
£3-5m for a guy riddled with plantar fasciitis who can't hit a barn door sounds like solid business
Bamford is absolutely awful, he has completely lost it. Really hope Birmingham or Wrexham waste their money on a fee plus ridiculous wages.
Definitely a story they are going to run with. Well for a short while anyway ...
That sounded harsher than I meant, but that problem has ruined him.
Plantacure - £39.95 - great little gadget.
