Same. He had a slightly shaky start to last season but then the whole team did and he was still one of the best players on the pitch. Latter half of the season he was back to being outrageously good.
One more tick off on the "Dancing Yak 2024 Summer business Bingo Card".
CJF Contract, Jow Lowe New terms and some infrastructure announcements left to get a full House. IS it a Full house, or just a House? I'm not 83 so don't know the Bingo Lingo.
would love it if all of the buildup this afternoon was deliberate skulduggery on the part of the WWFC media team - if so, absolute hats off and I raise a glass to you all.
That’s great news. A front three with Gmac on one flank Sadlier on the other and Kone through the middle is always going to offer plenty at League One level.
And with Beryl, Vokes and a fit-again Hanlan to compete for a place, our attacking options are already pretty good for next season and it’s not even June yet.
Great news on the GMac front. He’s as fit as a fiddle. An attacking threat. Has a great attitude that will be priceless as we bring in new talent over the next two windows.
If we get the development system up and running during his ‘final’ season we need senior pros as role models. And GMac is a great role model.
He would be a very good acquisition if we could get him. Also a very good sell on potential if he were to be a regular scorer in league 1. Fingers crossed 🤞
Perhaps Mr L is putting us in the market for this sort of player now alongside the odd Kazakh wunderkid and the occasional bargain basement Mehmeti. A multipronged approach to recruitment has a lot of appeal. This particular type of recruitment is what Peterborough do extremely well, invest in the low six figures with the hope of adding a zero, the occasional Toney might even end up with a double zero on the end. It is certainly a policiy that the new owner could afford to carry on for a fairly long time without troubling his monthly discretionary spend limit.
So Larne valued him at £300,000 last July. Wouldn’t have thought that would be halved after he clocked up 15 goals and 7 assists in helping Larne to the Irish Premiership title last season.
interesting to read (in a separate pop up from the Belfast Telegraph) that he played against Kazakhstan in a Euros qualifying match last year.

That's fantastic news, can still do more than a job for us at L1 level. As a 37 year old winger that's a huge testament to his fitness and quality.
I'd have given him two years to be fair, but still

What did I say eh?
The rumour mill’s not had the best start to close season has it?
His interview with Phil… “I’ve got a bond with a majority…..if not all of the players” 😂 wonder who he hates?
Do we have an Andrew David Thomas in the squad?
GMac you absolute tease, by the way.

Good work everyone.
Emotional roller coaster
Yep.... hats off sir
GMac should be made an honorary member of The Gasroom for life for that. Genuinely brilliant wind-up and equal credit to the comms team.
We have been nutmegged in style.
New it. It di'dnt take a jeenius to werk that won out.
Has anyone considered printing a GMac Torso , six/pack T-shirt.
Well, I think it’s a good idea and probably the only way I’d ever be seen with a six-pack wash board stomach.

He’s far too good for those biscuit-eating pricks.
To be fair it's not much of an insult. If they are "biscuit-eating pricks", that makes us "chair-sitting pricks".

This popped up on my Google account.
Our media people (?) are becoming very cleverly creative.
Alan Nixon in The Sun today has claimed that Wycombe want £150,000 striker Lee Bonis from Northern Ireland side Larne.
Seems like he had a bunch of English clubs chasing him last season too, but it never came off:
