Attendance Prediction Burton Albion (a) - Sat 11th March - Match 35
Last season this fixture was Match 46 and some excitement came afterwards. The crowd was 4440 of which 1622 were Wycombe fans.
To gauge enthusiasm from their fans for the game I dipped into 'Brewers Talk'. Only one post in their thread titled Wycombe Wanderers (home) which was started late on Tues -
"7th... Outside Play-off places by 4 points.... Had first win tonight under new manager, Matt Bloomfield - Chairboys 2 v 0 Fleetwood.
I'd not be unhappy with a point....
Over the moon with 3..."
I predict 3210 with 654 Wycombe fans thirsting for a second victory.
I have some time this afternoon - I should be able to catch up on some of the outstanding updates.

Given the current weather forecast for Burton over the next two days, I wouldn't be surprised if the game is postponed.

Just looked at the BBC forecast for Burton, bad weather until Friday afternoon which is sunny, cold but 3 degrees above freezing. Sharp frost overnight,, then sunny intervals on Saturday but not above zero until 10:30 on Saturday and only reaching 3 degrees above zero. The sunny intervals are currently forecast to finish and sleet start sometime during the game. Lovely. I maybe have overestimated the crowd if the game goes ahead, although I guess the weather forecast at this stage is about as reliable as my attendance forecast.
Anyone know if they have undersoil heating / the money to switch it on?

Very very unlikely to have undersoil heating I would have thought
2700 with 600 away fans

I'm thinking of booking rail travel for this but agree that there's a real chance it wil be postponed. Do we have anyone here with any local knowledge?
I am going to plump for 2876 with 401 intrepid Chairboys & girls running the risk of a long journey home
As luck would have it, I’m in Burton right now; there’s no lying snow here, though the pitch might be a bit ‘heavy’ given the overnight rain/snow.
I think it’ll be on if the pitch drains well.
@Ned_Ludd Thanks and genuinely appreciated
2,929 with 321 away please
3003 with 303 rather colder than last season Chairfolk
I think its the alleged -7c temperature forecast this evening that would worry me re tomorrows game.
Forecast to be still -5 at 8.00 am tomorrow, rising to +4 in the afternoon. Sounds touch and go to me.
2825 with 405 Wycombe
3,112, with 398 away.
Dumb question I am sure, but do non-undersoil heating clubs cover their pitches? I thought someone on the Burton forum referenced that, though I have no idea if it does any good.
2,785 including 449 Chairfolk.
2965 with 467 chairfolk please
I read somewhere that they cover the pitch but recently an area was not fully covered and was still frozen. Ref called the game off.
