”Hi-Ho Wycombe Wanderers” scans just as well. Be nice if the club played it over our ‘world class sound system’ and we could all have a pre match sing song together?
Not sure about the world class sound system unless it’s been transformed since I was last there in September 2021. Your inverted commas suggest not (!) but, to be fair, the ear shattering volume was the main problem for this sensitive old soul.
Can’t wait for Saturday but I suppose I’ll have to.
I get the impression we don't put a lot of the seats in the Origin (Beechdean/PreSonus) stand on sale, the ones marked as "Severely Restricted View" on the seating plan for example.
I've noticed this season that generally, even for big games, the bottom half of that stand is pretty empty, especially either side of the halfway line.
Yes the new ‘dug outs’ are dug ups so the view near the front middle is restricted. I notice there are still a load of seats ‘available’ at the away end of the Beachdean (or whatever) where away fans sit when the away end is closed, not sure what that is all about?
Looks to be a bit less than 400 tickets left at the moment. The club have just tweeted 50 left on the terrace, website shows about 200 left in blocks S and T of the Frank Adams (nearest the terrace and about 100 elsewhere scattered around the rest of our bit of the Frank Adams, then about 50 in the two end blocks of the 'car park'.stand.
I doubt it will be a complete sell out.
A reminder that if a sell out is declared, the attendance does become a fair bit more knowable and no more predictions will count. Otherwise the deadline is 2pm tomorrow as normal.
First of all thanks to all those predicting - 33 forecasts and everybody within 10% of the total.
Top Twenty for the Total Crowd: [8302 on our Twitter and the BBC]
Many congratulations to @Commoner who takes the Forecaster of the Week title, and was out by just 48 (0.58%) in a big numbers game.
Congratulations also to @NewburyWanderer who was within one hundred of the official crowd.
Top Twenty for our Home Crowd:
[Calculated as 5730]
Congratulations to @DevC - closest and missing by 37 with 5767. Honourable mentions for myself and @Alexo who were within one hundred.
Top Twenty for the Visiting Owls:
[Our Twitter gave it as 2572]
Many congratulations to @Will_i_ams whose prediction was out by just 8. @Shev, @Forest_Blue, @Twizz, @wwfcblue and @DJWYC14 certainly all deserve honourable mentions for being within fifty. Almost all of the top twenty were within a hundred.
On this occasion I should be able to update the overall Season Competition today.

That’d be great.

Hats off for you @micra: palindromic, totally sequential, just about feasible and nothing odd about it all. Never been done before Sir!
Just over a day to go until our 26th game of the season and there are 24 predictions on record so far including a gem by @micra [see above].
Average for Total Crowd: 8598
Average for Away Crowd: 2625
Gives us a home support of just shy of 6000. Onwards and upwards!
What is capacity for this configuration? Who knows.... 8478 with 2711
9448 licensed capacity.
My guess is we lose around 400 seats in general for whatever reason - maybe complimentaries/broken seats etc.
Plus another 400 for segregation. Estimate capacity at about 8650 for this game.
Then take off whatever is not sold, based on info above I reckon another 300.
That's how I got to my figure! In all honesty who knows...

I’ve gone too high at over 9K… but I’m sure over 9k want to be there

Thanks for that @railwaysteve. I’m blushing ever so slightly.
8,400 including 2,835 wise birds.
Less than 100 tickets left now in the whole ground.
I will go with 8800 and 2612 Owls.
8732 with 2625 from Sheffield please
9,000 with 2,700 away fans
Let’s hear a rather better version of this, pre-match

Just quick reminders for @peterparrotface and @ryan_w_kirkby2 - sorry I didn't put reminders out earlier.
8,302 apparently
"Only" 2,572 Owls - didn't look like there were too many in the family stand.
