Reasons to be cheerful (part ...)
Sorry. This is just me rambling on after a couple of days of assorted mood swings and some reflection...
I've supported Wycombe for about 50 years and like many the only time I've really got disillusioned was when we followed Hayes mad visions. It didn't seem to be my club anymore and I almost stopped caring.
Since the Trust took over it's been a hell of a journey, last year bringing the remaining fans together and igniting our passion again at Torquay, this year (almost) uniting the whole town for Wembley.
We've got our home back, a manager who is part of us, a team that plays for us.
I know we've still got the financial costs of the lost Hayes years to live with, but for the first time since we sold out I actually feel that WWFC is ours and the town's again.
Who knows what next season will bring, but at least we'll spend it supporting 'our' club. I haven't felt so good about this for many, many years
