I was at a wedding in London and we had to run for cover from a storm. I remember texting people at the game that if the storm gets to Adams Park it could mean an abandonment.
Thought the return texts later were a return joke.
Couldn't have happened against a nicer opposition.
Steve Hayes henchman known as 'Fat Stan' or the 'Dope with the blue rope', was very prominent that day, in advising, cajoling the officials of the danger.
Notts County away on a Tuesday night late 90s or early Noughties was as bad as either. Washed the pitch markings away. Abandoned after 5 minutes and replayed the night after as I recall. Didn't make the return journey.
Think this was the end of the cup run season. Not only did we go to Notts County on Wednesday and Thursday but we’d just played Bournemouth on the Monday.
As close as we’ve come to my ‘Wycombe game every day,’ ideal.

Richard Logan's only goal for Wycombe - wiped from the records.
Worst weather I've ever been outside in by far.
How quickly it turned was a shocker too.
The Portsmouth away flood was one thing but this was just another category entirely.
A Rovers fan I know is adamant it was us pulling a fast one. Obviously he wasn't there though!

"Thunder and lightning!" - every time Rovers came back
Really @Malone ?? Either you’re being ironic or you weren’t at that match at Fratton Park which flooded the pitch before half-time.
I'd personally judge heavy rain, a storm and lightening over a flood to be honest.
Both were called off but the Roverd game was a genuine safety issue.
Fratton game had all that tbh
Don't remember the lightening but I may just have forgotten it.
I just remember the streets being like swimming pools and a dreadful drive home. Rovers felt a step up to me.
