Tried to download a proper brass band (or at least a brass ensemble) version. It was played at quite a lot of grounds in the ‘fifties and beyond and the familiarity of repetition was akin to hearing the signature tune for the late lamented Sports Report. Stirring stuff .
Preferred it when we ran out to 'singing the blues'. No idea what we run out to now. Miss the old days when we actually had a 'dj' doing the music. Last season for 3 matches on the trot the same music was played at half time. All with vague Wycombe links. Brewers Droop, Ian Dury and Paul McCartney's version of 'singing the blues'- not his finest moment.
Many thanks @wingnut for posting that. Beautiful stuff and reminds me of the regular trips with my dad to watch Maidstone United, including Reserve games. Timely too as he would have been 123 today ! As my dear Irish wife has been known to say (admittedly a long time ago) “ah, shoor, he would never have lived that long”.
What a beautiful cottage in that Desford Colliery Band video clip. Pleasing on the eyes as well as the ears.
When we first moved to Adams Park the team ran out to “World Cup Theme” by Colourbox”. I think each club should have a different tune so it creates a bit of individuality.
My favourite is rather quirky: Brighton & Hove Albion run out to “Sussex by the Sea”. Nobody else in the EFL or Premier League could nick that!!!
It would not suit us, but I would love for a seaside team like a Grimsby to run out to a proper shanty like 'Keep Hauling'. Not much chance of it happening in this musically generic sports landscape, unfortunately!

Isn't it still Lust for Life?
Whatever happened to The Entry of the Gladiators ?

It’s strange isn’t it? If you said Everton it’s Z Cars without thinking but I can’t say I’ve noticed what it is for years at AP
I think it was Guns 'n' Roses. Then The Cult. No idea now. Will make a point of listening out tonight.
All the crowd wants, it goes without saying, is this little gem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2JnDKvuNzw
Watford is also Z Cars. Had 'I'm Still Standing' for a little while but switched back.
The Liquidator is the only song football teams should run out to.
Thanks for that reminder of how it was at Loakes Park. This is the full version for brass band;-

Your clip was interesting as I learned to play the tuba
To complete my comment it said "while I did my National Service in the RAF
Firewoman by The Cult.

i am glad you like it. It was, perhaps still is. a march used in circuses. It was always used at Loakes Park; just the first few bars anyway..
That's definitely the current run out song
Cheers
Someone must like it
Last night (v Bristol City) it was Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin.
I think it was Immigrant Song for the Shrews game...or someone was just screaming when they came out
That was Jack Grimmer stubbing his toe

I’d personally like Nathan Bishop to play us out of the tunnel to a She Bangs/Love Shack mash up complete with bongos ala Wagner on X Factor c. 2010.

Not much chair related music about.
Old rocking chair’s got me (Louis Armstrong, Jack Teagarden etc).
Arctic Monkeys - Don't sit down 'cause I moved your chair - seems appropriate for cup games

We could always just use Cher
Some kind of Scarecrow needed?
This is the best song about chairs

Perhaps Shakedown or Soul Trader by the Three Hypnotics who are a Wycombe band....
I've been listening to Thee Hypnotics again recently, stood the test of time.
