@a40 : when you make your correct guess, a page will appear with several different coloured banners. Tap on the royal blue one saying “copy this attempt” then go back to the discussion page and tap on the “leave a comment page”. The paste option should appear. Tap on that and your grid should appear. I have an iPhone and that process works for me but an iPad or laptop may require a different approach.
Some interesting thought processes in play today. My own initial feeling was that, following yesterday’s reference to palindromes, today’s solution might well be one. I entered the palindromic abbreviation of our chairman’s first name and of course that showed me what the middle letter was. That made it very easy.
i wondered if my comment in response to @AlanCecil might have influenced your inspired guess. As I’m occasionally greeted with a pop-up telling me that my chosen word is not in the dictionary, I was surprised that today’s solution wasn’t similarly greeted.
