  • The Ainsworth years have certainly been transformative for the club but having a well run club surviving in League 1 is nothing to.be sniffed at. Who is to say someone will not follow GA (once he leaves yet again for QPR, Sunderland Reading or Blackburn) and be able to rebuild on those great foundations? Like life we just have to enjoy each day as none of us know what's round the corner. Even if we think we can statistically work it out, interpret a player's body language , or heard a rumour that...

    There was a well known Bushy Bearded Wanderers fan who was consuming a pint of real ale/warm beer and eating a Mr Whippy simultaneously on that hot day in 1987. His facial hair had transformed into what looked like a creamy bag of candy floss, he too appeared to be having the time of his life.

  • Wolverton 1987 - Wasn't that the Liver Damage Firm's last hurrah - as they "took" the main stand (for a laugh)...?

    My "it will surely never get better than this" moment was the only other time we finished 6th in the 3rd tier. As we know, unfortunately, that year there was no play-off spot available, and the then greatest living Wycombe manager finally departed.

    Yet here we are...
