For those going to Burton by car
Our match at Burton should finish around 2.20pm. If you fancy a bite to eat & an interesting afternoon after the match can I suggest a visit to the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas near Burton (DE13 7AR).
Primarily it’s a memorial to British & overseas service personnel who’ve lost their lives in the service of the country since WW2 but it also includes memorials to WW1 & WW2. It’s 150 acres of memorials & woodland, together with a very nice café.
It’s free to get in but the car park is £6. Worth a visit as it’s very near Burton. Something to do if you fancy making a day of it. I would recommend a 45 minute tour of the grounds on the “land train” with commentary for £7.
