Burton Albion (a) - Attendance Prediction - Match 46 - Saturday 30th April 2022

edited April 2022 in Football

Last game of the regular season and arguably the most important so far.
Wycombe fans could be there in similar numbers to Brewers.

Can I encourage early posting so that I can judge how many of the Light and Dark Blue Brotherhood and Sisterhood know anyone who might possibly being going to conceiveably buy a ticket over and above the allocation of 1650 by some means or another?

Deadline - this game it will be 11:30 on Saturday morning

I need to get my best ten score average under 100.

Everyone is encouraged to have a go at predicting this game. Should be easier to be close than last Saturday as the numbers are going to be smaller.

Up the Blues.

@mooneyman I think Dev is suggesting that out of the 1,650 of us at the game, that 33 have an extra digit finger/thumb.

  • 4658 with 1646 blues

  • 4500 including 1675 Wycombe.

  • 4101 with 1650 away

  • 4123 including 1648 us

  • 3891 including 1648 "official" Chairfolk (well done to the couple of hundred WWFC infiltrators for behaving themselves). Thank you @railwaysteve for making another fun season of predicting possible.

  • 4,290 with 1,630 Chairboys.

  • Thursday morning - 14 predictions in for the final game of the regular season.

    We are saying:
    Average for Total Crowd: 4272
    Average for Away Crowd 1650

Amazing that average prediction for the away crowd!

This one perhaps quite difficult to predict - difficult to know the extent to which the home crowd will be swollen by last game of the season syndrome and other factors.

I am personally aiming to have a lower that 100 score for my best 10 average and to do that I need at least to beat my 10th best score by 3! To do this I need to be within 204 of the official attendance for this game. You can see I have given this a lot of thought ....

I go 4000 with 1650 in the away end.

Anyone else with a personal target, post or private message me and I will let you know what you need to achieve it.

  • Train tips for Burton, split your tickets HWY-BMO, the Birm New st - Burton. With senior/16-25/26-30/disabled rail cards works out £29.25 rtn in groups of 3 or more do the same split it works out £40 per person rtn.
Its suggested you purchase your tickets prior to Saturday as the 06;15 and 7;25 trains are expected to be very busy.

  • 4016 with 1650 away please

  • I'll go 4301 with 1650 in the away end.

Just in case this is the last game, thank you @railwaysteve for the time and effort you've put into this over the season, it's been great fun.

  • Very hard to call this one.

Average Crowd guess of 4272 this morning yet only a local’ish derby against Sheffield Wednesday has produced a bigger gate this season with the Sunderland game being the only other 4000 plus gate.

Would be amazed if the gate is over 4000, even with 2/300 Wycombe fans in the home areas.

Thanks @railwaysteve and @railwaybeth for all your work this season, especially after Steves excitement in Shrewsbury.

  • 4009 with 1649

  • 4,039 including 1,648 away

  • 4000 including 1650 Wycombe

  • 4112 including 1650 chairboys and girls please @railwaysteve

  • Just about 24 hours until we start thinking "Just make sure we have the tickets before we set off"

    22 predictions in

    Average for Home Areas 2559
    Average for Away Crowd 1649
    Average for Total Crowd: 4208

Predicted percentage of total crowd in the away areas - 39.19%.

No clear data on the amount of noise that could be generated.
See Wycombe Wanderers Fans Facebook page for number of inflatables expected, (Swans and others).
No reliable data on those who may be paying a visit to a shrine to St Vipienne.

I expect to put out a final gentle reminder to those who haven't predicted late today, rather than tomorrow morning. Anyone is welcome to have a go for the final game of the regular season.

  • 3883 with 1650 Chairboys

  • 3999 with 1648 Chairfolk of whom 3% will hold inflatables and 2.4% be dressed as Gaz-a-likes.
