I’m with the nervous hedge betters on this one. Even when my AFC mate despairs about the set-up there this season (on the playing side) and is certain that they’ll go down (and would struggle in the National League, let alone League 2) I’m always very nervous about games against Wimbledon.
But, hey ho, it’s a new stadium and 1200 excited Wycombe fans will be extremely loud. I understand they’re quite a young side and may struggle to keep out the likes of Vokes and McCleary (as well as Forino and Tafazolli at corners and set-pieces). I’m sure we’ll get at least a couple of goals and are unlikely to concede more than one so I’ll go:
You* just know that we will be the team that they will end their losing streak to
Wimbledon 2 - 0 Wycombe
*you may disagree and ‘think’ we won’t lose to them but all of you older than the likes of @ReturnToSenda will ‘know’ that’s what football and following Wycombe is like though
Oh, flip, @bookertease. Wha thought long and hard before making my prediction, in you come with that ugly truth! I’ll restore my optimism by checking our respective positions in the Samaritans League!
Incidentally, I made a right cock-up in the first line of my post at 3.07 pm. I should have said “bet hedgers” not “hedge betters”. FGS.
Only @railwaysteve correctly predicted a 2-0 win -well done mate. @micra though is the big mover taking a grip on second place and just perhaps making @SmiroludyBlue a little nervous at the top.

Wha? Too much editing. A simple ‘I’ will do. First line again.
‘Having’ would be better for the syntax.

Three games left - starting of course today.
Thanks @DevC - for the 'well done' and the competition.
I hope I repeat the success - Wimbledon 1 Wycombe 4 please.
