When it comes to the discussion about what sanction to take against a Country and it's citizens regarding the invasion of another Country, I doubt that the feelings of football fans or players was high on the agenda.
I think it absolutely was. The Government wants to look hard for the UK media. There's votes in it. Meanwhile few care about Saudi amongst others despite what they are doing in Yemen. But then they buy British weapons, so that's OK.
Interesting viewpoint from Tehran. Not sure Iran is any less guilty in global terms but there is truth here about Western hypocrisy. Mankind is a horrible species.
Just for clarifications sake because when you start “what abouting” people question your motives/opinions I’m sure you’ll agree Putin is a murdering piece of shit running not a regime not of the left or right but a kleptocracy of thugs originally from Saint Petersburg that has murdered people in Chechnya, Syria, and now in the Ukraine
The sight of David Mellor in full Chelsea kit is one of the most unappealing things I can remember from that era, although Antonia de Sancha ran him close. The headline "Toe Job to No Job" was the vomit inducing cherry on top of the whole putrid affair.

Which, to be fair, was totally made up by the press. Mellor was appalling but as usual the woman involved paid the price for the notoriety while he went off to be a media darling not unlike former rabid right-wing gay rights and BBC basher jolly Mikey Portillo.
Yes indeed, the fake news industry predates the internet by millennia as does the patriarchy. In fairness to Portillo, have been known to be critical of the BBC myself from time to time, sometimes for airing Portillo's garish trouser/jacket combinations.
In this instance it wasn't the press that made up the salacious detail about the Chelsea kit, but the publicist Max Clifford who included it in the story they sold to the papers.
His reasoning was that it made the story more valuable, and there was no way Mellor would come out and challenge that one detail as he would then have to acknowledge the rest was true and talk about it publicly
Cheeky c*nts, Have they confirmed they'd also like to play all of their remaining home league games behind closed doors as allowing no away fans would have similar effect and that they'd like their season ticket holders to stay at home?
What's stopping Middlesbrough selling tickets to Chelsea fans, or am I missing something?
Surely any time a club sells tickets to an away game it's on behalf of the home club - to the extent even that they are printed on the home clubs ticket stubs?

Doesn't the transaction have to go through the away club, though? And Chelsea can't do any transactions like that at the moment?
I thought FA Cup gate money has to be split between the two clubs. If correct, surely this is going to hit Middlesbrough financially not being able to fill the away end.

Maybe Matt Wanksock can see if any of his 'Landlord' friends has a spare 3 billion.

What Chelsea needs is David Mellor at the helm.
Or Mel Morris!
We all know the British government is far more tyrannical than Russia and Iran which is why everyone wants to move to Tehran or Moscow.

Well done the premier league
Eventually. Laughable it's the only time they've done it and only after he's already given up control and put it on the market.
Yes I meant to say 18 years too late
Assume they'll be stripping them of all the titles won funded on his dirty money?
No, obviously not, don't be silly!
I have a suggestion for the football authorities prior to passing a fit and proper person test, Google their name
Man, I hate Chelsea

I love Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough are fast becoming everyone's favourite other club.
It gets better!
Directors box should be interesting

Maybe they just don't want a bunch of racist scumbags there.

Sigh.....
Where are the reasonable Chelsea fans saying, ‘we had our fun but now it’s all collapsing around our ears we don’t deserve any sympathy.’
At least they haven't started to blame Wycombe for the mess. I guess they'll start to slag 'Boro off now though!
