  • God lives an optimist. 1-1.

  • The head says after a poor result yesterday Rotherham will do a Wigan to us but the heart says we will grind out a 1-1 draw

  • Wycombe 1 - 3 Rotherham

  • Wycombe 1 Rotherham 2

  • Chairboys 3 Millers 2

  • Wycombe 2 Rotherham 2. No grinding out now that we’re once again performing like a well-oiled machine.

  • Blues 1 Millers 3

  • Wycombe 1-3 Rotherham

  • Oh ye…..!

  • Wycombe 2-2 Rotherham

  • Wycombe 2-2 Rotherham

  • Wycombe 2 -Rotherham 2 please

  • I have an inkling we will triumph 1 -0.

  • I’m wondering whether I should feel flattered!

  • Wycombe 1-2 Rotherham

  • Wycombe 2-0 Rotherham... Why!?. Because why the hell not!??
    COYB!!!!

  • Wycombe 1 Rotherham 1

  • Saturday really is a conundrum. Rotherham are a big strong physical side (?); Wycombe less so but with a much more balanced lineup (between attack and defence) in the last two games and also keeping the ball on the deck a lot more and the Adams Park pitch cries out for passing football. Potentially almost a role reversal between the two sides (although Rotherham may be playing a more cultured brand of football this season).

I think @Wendoverman’s inkling could prove prophetic.

  • A chance perhaps for Horgan to make amends for his miss in the corresponding match at AP last season! That was eighteen months ago to the day and, from the lineup that day, only he and Anthony Stewart are likely to play on Saturday.

  • Wycombe 1 Rotherham 1

  • Rotherham have a very tough away game tonight in the North East at Hartlepool, a long journey back tonight and then back on the road the following day to Bucks.

We have a good opportunity if they have a tough game tonight and the large amount of travelling they will have to do over the next three days.

  • not that far from Rotherham to Hartlepool, but the Millers celebrating getting to Wembley with a 48-hour-Tetleys-bender won't do us any harm, either. Teams still do that, right? It is Yorkshire, after all.

Over 2 hours in a coach which means they will get back to Rotherham well past midnight and then have to drive home. Then a 3 hour journey the following day to Bucks.

  • And so the clutching at straws begins. They may stop and the strikers all buy a dodgy wrap at a service station.

  • Straws will take a bit of clutching in the gusty wind. It’ll take a gutsy performance from them to overcome a resurgent Wycombe.

    Now who’s clutching at straws?

Not at all, just stating facts.

We will be fresher having not played or travelled for a week. They have had a busy schedule with four games in the last 11 days, including a long trip to Plymouth as well.

  • Please…no wind on Saturday!!! Have we won one game this season in the big wind?

  • Only joshing @wwfcblue not criticising your assessment.

    6-6 ?

  • Really not sure what to make of Saturday. Rotherham seemingly on a little blip themselves, scoreless draw away at Shrewsbury and home defeat against 10 man MK.
2-2 with Hartlepool, which was surprising.

Yes, we’ve won our last two but both Cambridge and Crewe had sustained spells of pressure in the 2nd half which a better team would have put us to the sword. Certainly Accrington did.

My heart says we can win this but I’m not entirely convinced our new line up is really a new dawn. The lack of quality of the opposition has helped those last two games. Mind you, you can only play what’s in front of you.

Going to leave this another day!
