Wealdstone 0 Notts County 0
Took the opportunity this evening to have a look at some National League action and particularly 2 ex-Wanderers & one current player out on loan.
On a cold evening in Ruislip the match ended 0-0 in front of 1,547 supporters. Fair play to County fans, who made up around 500 of the crowd - a long trip on a cold Tuesday in January. The match was entertaining but desperately disappointing in the final third. Neither side could convert several chances & both keepers had good games.
For Wealdstone, 2 ex-WW players were on show: former Charlton loanee Josh Umerah and left-back/midfielder Jamie Mascoll. Umerah did ok in holding the ball up but didn’t look anywhere near the threat he was when on loan at Adams Park. Mascoll looked threatening but his crossing needs to improve in quality.
For Notts County, Connor Parsons came on with 20 minutes to go and looked lovely down the left wing. County were poor in the first-half but put the Wealdstone defence under immense pressure in the second-half. County had enough possession to win it but they were lacking in front of goal while Wealdstone’s defence held out admirably.
One point to note - if you are a WW season-ticket holder & you want to go to a game at Wealdstone, just show your ticket & you will get in for £10 rather than £15.

Good to hear that Connor is so handsome.
“Lively” - it was late & I was frozen to the bone!!!
Sorry, couldn't resist. Thanks for the report. Didn't realise Mascoll was at Wealdstone.
