Problems getting banners approved by WWFC/Wembley/Football League

Has anyone had any success getting their banners approved for use at Wembley on Saturday going through the official channels? (emailing [email protected] with banner dimensions, photo of the banner and fire safety certificate)

I'm trying to register two banners to come along, however these are both falling foul on the grounds of 'size', according to the WWFC representative that is passing the request onto Wembley and the FL. The banners in question are 10ft x 6ft and 12ft x 5ft and have been brought to a number of away fixtures with no problem.
Anyone else having problems with this bureaucratic nightmare?

  • Yes. Any firemen out there can get me a fire certificate please?

  • Is there a label sown onto yours that has the safety standards that it complies with? Failing that, contact the supplier (which is was I had to do via the 'commissioner' of the banners I 'curate')

  • you're not in charge of the "Sanchez Out" one are you?

@eric_plant That's going to be on the card display

  • Ah yes I think there is! Sounds like no chance on size though.

  • @LX1 Give it a go and let us know how you get on

  • Alas, I'm conceding defeat on this. Utter bureaucratic opaque bollocks from start to finish. The FL and Wembley may as well have said "no fackin banners, alright peasant scum" from the start and saved us all the bother.
