The Hull owner has made some poor hiring decisions recently, but Reading's situation is eminently worse. Selles has done a superb job at Reading, but surely you'd eventually get fed up of being the one sane head in the circus?
It's now being reported that Hull have been granted permission to talk to him about the job. I'd be amazed if he turns it down.
I've got a friend I see at gigs who's a lifelong Swindon fan (50+ years) and he says neither the team nor the club itself have ever been in a worse state. That defending really is shocking. Fans are fully expecting non-league football next year and you can see why.
Yep I have a friend from school who’s had a season ticket since he was 4 (so that is 23 years) and he said they were going down before the season even started. Horribly mismanaged and would be another big team at national league level if they do go
Spot on. Hull have a bad reputation for manager disloyalty, but are a step up from what must be the most stressful management job in football right now at Reading. He will get paid more, be a level higher, and get a huge payoff if Hull get antsy.
I actually want to see Selles at a decent club (not Hull, but the one after them I suppose), because he has been amazing, when you think of the backdrop he has been working in spite of.

Surprised more people didn't pick up about his butt hurting, but it's still no reason for him to be rattled.
That's old new age.
Wigan have a youth team defender called K’Marni Miller, a weirdly similar name to ex-Wycombe striker D’Mani Mellor
Chilling
Sounds like an exam question....what is next in the sequence?
W'Mrni Millwr
That's his Welsh cousin
Swindon lose 4-0 to Col U and still rock bottom of L2. Why on earth did they employ Ian Holloway?
They'll be haunted by that result.
Probably still a better appointment than Lopetegui
Yeah, that's over I reckon
Milli Vanilli? And it turns out none of them were real footballers?
It seems Selles is a contender for the Hull job. Imagine if he leaves Reading before Saturday...
Hull probably seem as well-run as Brighton after working for Reading!
🤞
He won't. Only an idiot would go there!
I think you are probably right.
If he'd be an idiot for going to Hull, what does that make him for going to Reading?
Sky Sports News on X: "BREAKING: Reading have given Ruben Selles permission to hold talks with Hull City over their vacant manager’s job 🚨 https://t.co/DdxQltI8JI" / X
Out of the fire in to the frying pan.

Man alive some of this defending! ColU could have had half a dozen

The good thing for Reading is that if Selles goes Rooney will possibly be free after the next game or so...

So Ian Holloway's burial ground curse is real?

He'll get paid.
Touche!
Gareth Ainsworth's Shrewsbury in action tonight. And hopefully Birmingham Stockport is a draw.
