We were also in the top four the whole season until the last weekend, when we did not play. Of course we then dropped down to 248th in the table and were only allowed in the playoffs because we won Bingo in a shady EFL backroom, accordingly to opposition fans.
The REAL team who deserved to go up via the playoffs was Fleetwood, who we thrashed, or Oxford, who we beat in the final, or Portsmouth, who were beaten by the team we beat.
Don't get me wrong @Malone I think Blooms is doing a fantastic (possibly even historic) job for us, but I never thought a Championship club pretending it wants to be promoted, that had just sacked a popular manager would have dipped down to appease the fans with a L1 name when there are people like Lampard, Potter, et al knocking about however well we were doing at the time.
But football is a crazy game...as GA and the Shrews just proved!
