I'm sure we'd all be perfectly happy to suspend the season competition for a while if that's what's needed.

This is an annoying game. In right ballpark but still unable to get into double figures all season. Grrrrr.
You'll get there Dev, its a long season.
I am not sure if I counted as one of the 180 or not,. I collapsed not far from the ground and spent the game in the first aid room. I heard the goals but didn't see them, which was a little frustrating. Spending the night in A+E where they are looking after me well, they say I probably had a mild heart attack - surprised it didn't come in the franchise game which was more than a bit frustrating.
I will be late with the updates as I don't have my laptop with me yet.
Proud of the cheering at the game, the staff first thought Shrewsbury had scored.
Blooming heck. Sorry to hear. And so far from home too.
Hope you have a speedy recovery.
You really are a gentleman, @railwaysteve - having a heart attack and notifying us that you will not be updating the attendances! Needless to say, all the best to you and your health, and I may add a cheeky '1' to my next guess (whenever that may be) in your honour.
Thank you all of you, it has been a most excellent tonic. They are looking after me well at the Shrewsbury Royal. I am feeling better, I won't keep posting updates, but the specialist doctors are now consistently saying it probably wasn"t a mild heart attack but a malfunctioning valve on tje main artery out of the heart. The protein marker for heart damage did register slightly so that was the initial adsumpion. So I await the outcome of a considerable numbers of tests.
I am being careful, but if I get very bored with the view I can't promise not to do something with the competitions.

Possibly a good thing you were so close to the ground and medical help but not so good you were so far from home.
If you have any issues getting back then I would be more than happy to drive up and bring you back to Wycombe.
I wish you a speedy and full recovery.
@wwfcblue thank you for the really really kind offer. I actually live just outside Cambridge and my son - season ticket holder at Adams Park - is planning to drive o er and probably take me and car back with him.
You are right about being lucky. Early part of my walk from town was through quiet woods.
@railwaysteve
If you get any problems I would be happy to do the same and via Cambridge.
I've just been playing with all the figures to see how far up I've jumped, it must take you hours after every game to collate everything, check the figures and publish. Hats off Sir.
Happy to run your comp temporarily while you get fit. ** Let me know if you would rather I didn't.** Will hand back whenever you are ready. Think of it as a sort of temporary @railwaysteve replacement service while you are getting essential maintenance....

Thanks @DevC I'm functional enough I reckon. I have the laptop now in hospital so data entry not much more of a problem than usual.

Very sorry to hear about what must have been an extremely unnerving experience, @railwaysteve. Hope you’re able to rest well and quickly recuperate.
I really love this forum. How we can disagree, sometimes with veracity, but when one of us suffers we can come together like a Borg. ?. Best wishes mate, swift recovery & may you be able to attend sooner rather than later!?
Please accept fulsome apologies, especially to @Alexo and to @thedieharder. I made a data entry mistake and added @thedieharder's entry over the
top of @Alexo's. Other entries all checked and I believe they are allok.
The mistake happened because I forgot to move the cursor in the spreadsheet between inputting the two entries. Thank you @wwfcblue for pointing it out with kindness.
Corrected Top Ten Table
@thedieharder whose prediction of 4500 was out by 10 @Shev whose prediction of 4483 was out by 27 @YorkExile whose prediction of 4469 was out by 41 @Alexo whose prediction of 4555 was out by 45 @wwfcblue whose prediction of 4567 was out by 57 @micra whose prediction of 4450 was out by 60 @eric_plant whose prediction of 4435 was out by 75 @JohnBoy whose prediction of 4420 was out by 90 @DJWYC whose prediction of 4608 was out by 98 @SmiroludyBlue whose prediction of 4635 was out by 125
@thedieharder please take a virtual bow and credit for the very close prediction.
