I think he was mentioned on the summer transfer thread.

Sunderland unable to make any offer. Maybe being lined up as either a partner or replacement for Uche!

I know he was mentioned on the summer transfer thread. He’s going nowhere. End of.

UPDATE ; David Artell confirms that Wycombe have not made a bid yet for Owen Dale contrary to previous press reports.

Interesting article on Owen Dale + good quiz on old Wycombe players ( to test your knowledge!! ).
Sounds like a very talented player, who could be a cracking addition to the squad .
Ideal potential replacement for Fred Onyedinma - in my opinion.

Are the quiz answers slightly out of date on that thing? I did terrible anyway, I have no recollection of Elliot Parish at all.
My score was 12 / 21 , which was pathetic.
I got to number 9 (I think), all correct (I think) when the screen went blank. Was trying to get it back when somebody called Antonia butted in and asked me if I needed help with my last will and testament. She was unusually polite for a cold caller when I declined her offer.
Be careful @micra. That was a coded warning from an acquaintance of @ChasHarps. You were getting too close to Excellent Wycombe Knowledge. There are consequences…
20/21 on the quiz, got Yennaris’ club wrong.
It would be some show of intent if we signed Dale, given the suggestion of a rather large fee being needed. Certainly seems like a good fit though.
Brilliant @bookertease. .
Interesting @BlueBoy. I went for Brentford but wasn’t at all sure because I don’t remember seeing his name on any Brentford squad lists.
He’s been playing in China for a few years now. He also plays for the Chinese national team, in doing so changing his name and (I think) becoming the first player not born in the country to represent them.
Artell addressed that at his most recent press conference saying he hasn’t had an offer for any of his players, but added: “I have been told what the offer may be. I would leave it up to the chairman whether he wants to respond but I certainly wouldn’t because I would see it as that derogatory. I would actually think they would be taking the mickey.
This is the link, reported in Cheshire Live concerning our bid for Owen Dale.

I'm not a fan of Artell after his 'Ooh, look at us, we play the right way' comments after the last time we played them (when we won 3-2 up there).
Are you in the right thread, your Lordship?
Apologies @lordmelchester. The posts above led me to think this was the quiz thread. You speak of Owen Dale, no doubt!
People are so bloody quick, numerous posts pop up while I’m forefinger tapping.
If Owen Dale is the player that Gareth and Dobbo want to strengthen our forward line , then this decision must have been made and a bid sanctioned by RC well before all the bids for Uche were received.
So, come on Wycombe, if we are serious let's complete the task and get the job done and complete the signing .
@micra - suggest you read the press report before making thread comments.
It wasn’t there when I commented on your post of 6.05. That was the point in my post of 6.14. Leave me alone!
@micra - sorry, I didn't realise that you were now monitoring gasroom2 threads. I thought that was the responsibility of Dr Congo.
We have little chance of getting Owen Dale. His wage demands have even put Blunderland off buying him.
There is a lot of interest in him and I suspect he will go to a championship team.
Aaron Pressley of Brentford on loan would be a good move, even if Uche stays.
Hoping the Sammy Saunders connection there comes in handy
@lordmelchester : for heaven’s sake, give it a break. I don’t know what I’ve done to upset you but I do know that your link to the press report had not been posted when I made my comment. I was under the impression that this was a quiz thread after having read at least half a dozen posts preceding your post starting with the name ‘Artell’ (which meant nothing to me) and which made no mention of Owen Dale. As soon as I realised my mistake, I apologised to you. I’m disappointed therefore to be greeted this evening with an unnecessarily sarcastic comment. I do my best on here to be civil.
The irony of course is that my mistake (for which I immediately apologised) is definitive proof that I’m useless at monitoring threads.
@micra - you do go on. Sorry again if I have rattled your cage. Must have hit a nerve, I guess!
@micra - you sad old guy!!!! ⚽️⚽️
