Newport Keeper scores longest ever goal

Sadly not sure it is though. Our pitch is apparently 115 yards long meaning that the edge of the penalty area would be 97 yards,.
Nor was the Newport goal in the last minute. Nor was it the winning goal. It remains to be seen if Newport end up denying Cheltenham promotion on goal difference. True masochists only can remind themselves of the horror through their fingers, worth it perhaps for the moron making a tit of himself at 1.40

Why would you post that?
96 metres is longer than 97 yards.
Younger Gasroomers, do not click that link.
all part of fascinating history and who knows in true sliding doors fashion, had that freak goal not gone in, perhaps we would have been promoted a year earlier, perhaps we wouldn't have been quite so ready and wouldn't have immediately got promotion to third tier (was it still Div 3 then), maybe we wouldn't be in the Championship now. Certainly we would have missed out on that wonderful day out for the second trophy final against Runcorn.
Any chance you could post Southend's play-off goal too while you're here. I need bringing down a notch or two.
Maybe someone can upload the 1984 cup final when Sherwood dropped the ball. I'm sure Dev will reach for his tight red satin shorts to wipe away the tears.
A couple of palate cleansers:
I was at that away game. Col U tore us apart in the 1st half, still don't know how we got away with that win?
Forgot about the Tafari Moore wonder goal that never was.
