I think if you get to a point in 2 or 3 years where there isn't any greater trust in decisions and we are still debating both original decision and var decision each time there will be a good case to scrap it.
Maybe a side effect of playing behind closed doors and all the player and officials being heard is that mic'ing up refs might be considered again.

No chance it's scrapped.
They obviously have to get it better, and also sort out a better rule around attackers and handballs.
Someone laid out flat on the floor and a defender smashing it against them from 2cm should never be a handball.
Otherwise every defender ever, has a nice easy way out in their own box.
