I live in Cheshire, On VE Day there was an awkard social distancing street party.
Everyone had their flags out, people chatting to their neighbours, people chatting to neighbours they would never have chatted to before. Some politely mentioned the beer stains on my Wycombe flag but I deflected the conversation. Weird being in gardens and shouting over keeping our distance. (a middle class utopia in some universe).
