I struggled a bit with that one @mooneyman as there have been 692 Lord Mayors of London, dating back to the 15th century and I’d never even heard of an allurophile,
My maternal grandmother used to take me up to London every year for several years in the ‘40s to see, among other pantomimes, Peter Pan, Babes in the Wood (strangely no longer part of the repertoire!), Aladdin (the sane version) and that perennial favourite, Dick Whittington.
I had no idea that Dick was an allurophile and I will definitely warn their parents not to take our great grandchildren to see such filth.
